Jags Passing Game (1 Viewer)

I didn't see the game. Curious people's impression on Lefty and all the WR's going forward. Is M Jones still considered #1, is Lefty more than a spot starter. Lefty and Reggie Williams are on the waiver in my 10 team league. What do you guys see out of them going forward.

My gut is that Lefty will have more decent games than bad and is a borderline starter. M Jones and Williams will alternate weeks as for who is #1, but neither will be the clear #1. All this from only the stats though. I have not seen the games.

Anyone have input?

wathcing tonight it looks like

1 m.jones

2 r.williams

3 wilford

the problem is next week it'll be

1 m.jones

2 wilford

3 r.williams

from what i saw (bits and pieces), jones was the guy getting the red zone looks.

leftwich seems to lock on to him and keep going back to him for a few throw in a row.

hopefully this will occur more and more often as the season progresses.

against dallas, leftwich looked for jones three or four times in a row and it was succesful.

reggie williams showed me good hands so he is going to be a main possession guy, but jones has surprisingly reliable hands and leftwich looked for him also on third downs.

Very encouraging performance tonight for the Jax passing offense against the steelers D. Good pass protection from the line, good ball spread by lefty, & good hands by the receivers.

Another surprise was JDR allowing lefty to throw 39 times against the steelers. Maybe jax will open up the offense a bit this year?

Announcers said a couple times that Byron doesn't just throw hard, see that touch? and ....ya know he kinda does, well....I don't know there's something weird about his throws. They are perfect darting spirals but ....

Jones I'd give up "the world" for in Dynasty.

I can't tell if he's all class taking it easy or if he should pile on the extra effort to fight for another yard but other than that he's easily one of the top young WRs in the game if not the top one.

Reggie did nothing until one sweet catch and run set up by a Jones block. He has seemed like only a big play WR, lack of a better term, and tonight's a good example of that. Wilford, all in all, is a more productive/consistent WR IMO but the big play threat of Williams will always demand playing time.

Jones can dominate in stretches... they need to be looking to him even more often... Every catch he makes is one for a first down. He is clutch.
