Jaguars vs. Dolphins -3 O/U 47 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium! (1 Viewer)

not sure you can rate miami players with this coaching staff
Flores has shown his ceiling clearly FIRE HIM and give him the rest of his money becauase he signed a 5yr fully gauranteed deal to come to Miami because Ross deserves no less than having to pay thru the nose just to get decent interview candidates.

Grier should fall on the sword and resign

Fins should have called a timeout after that tackle so they'd have to punt instead of being able to throw a hail marry.

Tua looks looks like a High School player on the sidelines kinda sulking and not the same look when it was 13-3, he squandered a lot of drives settling for FGs, this is what you get.

I know he's a rookie and it's early, but Lawrence's pocket awareness leaves a bit to be desired.

I mentioned this after his first preseason start.  You can tell he's very used to playing behind an elite offensive line in college and not having to worry about this stuff.

Cost them the game.
although LOL at replay refs not looking at the clock on that last play

NFL clearly wanted this game over before the 1 pm window which meant no overtime

Not necessarily…since he gave himself up and they had a TO.

Still sort of unsure how it had enough time.  So it was maybe smart but mostly lucky

It's usually not very bang bang and when a guy kind of dives forward like that they usually aren't very quick on the whistle.  It usually takes a couple seconds for them to realize he's giving himself up and blow the play dead.  With a 0:01 margin I think time would've run out before they blew it dead.

No, when you dive forward, then officially you have given yourself up when you hit the ground, and the play is over.  They changed the rule a couple of years ago.

That's only for QBs I believe.  A WR still has to be clearly "giving himself up" in some way (it's not automatic on a forward dive) and like I said above usually it takes the ref a few seconds to blow the whistle in that circumstance.

That's my understanding of it at least.  I could be wrong.

Still comes down to Miami not calling the timeout after that 3rd down play.  If there are 13 seconds left there the Jags almost certainly punt.
