This is my bold prediction for this season for a few reasons:
1. All indications are that Jake's arm is fine, and that its feeling better than ever (Jake has said this himself). Steve Smith has said that Jake's arm looks stronger than before the surgery. We can now put to rest the concerns about Jake's arm. Jake looked great tonight throwing 2 TDs and 1 INT in half a game. I know its only preseason, but Carolina's offense looked explosive tonight.
2. Jake's first year in the new offense (last year when he only played 2.5 games) he threw 8 TDs against only 1 INT.
3. Greatly improved running game which will open up the passing lanes. They now have their "Thunder and Lightning" running backs.
4. Improved OL.
5. Much improved WR's in Muhammad and Hackett, to go along with Smith. Hackett can adequatley fill in Smith's role on the offense for Smith's 2 game suspension.
This will be Jake's best statistical season ever. I predict 30-32 TDs, 4000+ yards.
