Jamal Lewis Mouths Off (1 Viewer)

Your number of posts speaks volumes, no way in hell he scores twice and nets 100+ total yards.
To quote the great Mark Twain:"It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

QUOTE (Da Masses @ Sep 13 2003, 09:01 PM)

Jamal always has great, if not good games against Cleveland. And considering how bad the Brown D-Line was against Portis ,(and before I get flammed, I am not saying that Lewis=Porits, but he is a top 12 back) he should get 80yds rushing/30yrds receiving and 2 td.

We'll see tomorrow
Your number of posts speaks volumes, no way in hell he scores twice and nets 100+ total yards Did you pay any attention to the Browns shutting down the Colts last week? Cleveland's defense is for real and the Ravens are starting a rookie QB. All the Browns have to do is stop Lewis and they win, Lewis ain't Priest Holmes, he'll suck tomorrow.
I would like to apologize to my fellow sharks on the board, my numbers were a LITTLE off. :D Just don't have the extra time on my hands to try to boost my posting stats by putting up assine posts, too busy winning in my 3 money leagues. Unlike some people that obivously know a lot more than me :rotflmao:

H.K. this is reserved for you ----> :bag: When you finished with the bag you can put all of your useless "posts" in it and take them to a board more suited for your style of "analyis" :boxing:

I'm spent :hot:

Absolutely incredible, definitely better than Ruth's calling a homer. He called a RECORD and set it. Then again, I bet players do it and fail all the time, we just don't hear about it.A defining moment for him, and a big one in NFL history. He deserves a nickname for this.I vote "The Oracle"

HK,It is really gratifying to see a "low number" elitist go down in flames like you did. Do you honestly still think low member numbers have a thing to do with someone's credibility on a freaking internet message board? Morons who think that low member numbers are inversely proportionate to their football knowledge are even more annoying than the guys who reply to posts and complain that they are in the wrong forum or it has already been discussed (ignoring the irony of bringing further attention to the offending post by replying at all). But only slightly more annoying. :boxing:

Stupid, just stupid. Put Lewis on the bench this week, he has assured himself of a 60 total yard effort without any scores. So it is written, so it shall be.
Once again, jinxing my own player pays huge dividends  .....but my opponent had Holmes and I am going to lose if Shockey does anything tomorrow night :bag:Edited to add: My apologies for the "low post" comment, unwarranted on my part. Saw a lot of people having fun at my expense today & assuming you are all fellow Lewis owners, I don't mind it one bit. In fact there is now way in hell Jamal will total 30 yards next week and scoring a TD is completely out of the question!!!!

:rotflmao: Whatever spin you want to put on it H.K. Everyone here's only joy is to say "I told you so" and when they are on the wrong end of that...then [insert name] was "jinxing my own player pays huge dividends ". We all buy that right fellas?

This thread was awesome. I heard that he called it towards the end of the game. When I clicked the link for the Shark Pool, I remembered reading this thread last night. Hilarious.I've got a Jamal/LT combo in 2 leagues and a Jamal/Stephen Davis combo in the 15k contest. I'm going to go ahead and call my shot and say that I'll advance to Week 3 of the contest. ;)

Da Masses, either this is your new sig line or you have no sac!

What are you on crack? Or is my sarcasm radar a little off today.
This post is an instant classic for years to come!!! I just wanted to be a part of it, it has everything, good fishin' too!!! Congrats Jamal this is your day buddy..........one of the coolest moments is sports I can remember!!

this ranks right up there with Broadway Joe calling a win in Super Bowl 3. Of course he's a UT back. More often than not they make solid pro backs.GREAT JOB JAMAL!!

I think Lewis sold his soul to the Devil Sept. 13, 12:00am! :devil:According to the Baltimore Sun he was reported being seen by a homeless man walking into an abandoned building between the hours of 10:00pm-12:00am. Around 3:00 am that night a fire broke out at the same building. Hmmm...

jwvdcw bumps a post from the dead = XNOUGHT is incorrect with a prediction = jamal lewis calling his shot against the browns, again = that was just one of the most badass predictions in sports...EVAH

:lmao:
That prophecy was correct, just a year early. In the following season Jamal played the Browns week 1 and notched something like 54 total yards. How do I know? Had Jamal in 2003  Had Jamal in 2004  Traded Jamal this offseason for Barlow and three first rounders :excited:

No, the prophecy was incorrect because it was applied specifically to that week.

Uh, hence the part where I said it was a year early. The prophcy was that Jamal would put up 60 total yards against Cleveland the following week. The prediction was correct, just not the timing. Semantics....

Great, my all time favorite thread.... 1) I lost to the Holmes owner that week by two f'n points :hot: as Priest went for 3 TD's and a 120+ yards rushing, pretty much offsetting the miracle by Lewis. Of course, I had the second highest score that week and that loss was enough to cost me the regular season title.

2) Anyone remember Lewis getting put back in on the goal line and f'n Billick runs a play action? Golly, that play almost worked and then they kicked a FG....of course you don't hand it to a guy who's already gone for 295

3) Thanks to this thread, I look a jerk in the process of trying to remove all the negative anit-mojo double reverse jinx vibe to cause my team to win....but to no avail (as usual).

In the future, please do not post a thread anticipating big games out of my players. If it happens, I'll lose on a fluke and be miserable or that player won't do squat and I'll lose be miserable.

Man I hate this stupid hobby, thanks for letting me relive all this misery all over again!

Jamal owner here.

Ya, keeo your mouth shut.

I know the Browns are planning for Jamal anyways, but dont give them that extra omph.
I'm curious why jvwabcxyz thought it neccessary to bump a 22 month old thread, where a phone conversation amongst players went public?A conversation leading to a player predicting and accomplishing a record setting performance for the ages?
