James Davis do you cut him? (1 Viewer)

I hate to give up on a guy this earlier but the reports I read aren't good.

Input from someone who watched the game would be great.

I am wondering....would you pick Bell? Caddy? or ???

Or is this guy going to bounce back? Is James Davis just getting used to the speed of the regular season?

seriously people are hilarious with their over reactions....might i suggest you cut donald brown and knowshon moreno as well...maybe even terrell owens

Beyond the car accident, he was actually injured in the game. Appeared to be his shoulder, though the Browns havent given any further details. I'd sit tight with him until we learn the extent of his football injury. By the way, Jamal Lewis looked decent against Minn.....not looking ready to just his job to the rookie.

he did look good, but at the same time I dont see him being the singleback RB that he has been for so many years, Davis is goign to come in a take some carries if not 50% of the carries away from him IMO

wow, the best sleeper in FF, the guy who nearly got Jamal cut (never believed that) cut after week 1 in a game vs. the Vikes? Give it 3 weeks at least unless you are dropping him to pick up a Caddy or M. Bell. If you can get those guys I'd do it otherwise put him in your pocket for a few weeks and don't overreact.

If you really need production right away, and there is someone out there like Bell or Cadillac, drop him. But if you have room on you bench, keep him. Davis was never expected to take the job week 1 anyways. His role will grow as the season goes on.

are you really comparing James Davis to those guys?In redrafts, I don't usually hold roster spots for injured 2nd string backs on crappy offenses. Luckily, I don't have to make the decision until Friday so we'll see if Davis practices at all this week

As a Davis owner I liked his upside but with Bell, Caddy, Mcgahee, and Bush on the waiver wire, got to make a move
Yeah it really depends on who you'd be picking up if you dropped him. I'd definitely drop him for Caddy, McGahee, and Bush, and maybe Bell (should has a lot of short term but not long term upside).

:lmao:

I cut him and picked up M Bush on waivers last night

and played against the best dline in football... gees
You do realize that Lewis played against the same line and averaged 5.2 YPC Sunday, right? (While Davis was at 1.25 YPC)Lewis also added 3 receptions for 47 yards, while Davis recorded 3 recpetions for 4 yards with a long of 2.Unless you're holding Davis as a handcuff or hoping Lewis gets hurt, unless Davis suddenly starts looking much, much better in REAL games (and Lewis starts looking much worse), I think it might be time to consider other alternatives. Maybe not this week, but in a week or 2.

if there are more immediate impact players on your WW and u need help in your lineup asap (lost LT2 possibly) than giving up on Davis is understood.

But its only Week 1 ..!! Did you not see the Vikings on the schedule before the season and your draft??

Dont over react ....I cant imagine anyone drafting Davis to be a starter or bye week filler out the gate.

Save him on ur roster if u have the room...he's still worth a flyer.
