Lions placed DE James Hall (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season.

DE Kalimba Edwards steps into the starting position with DE James Hall, the captain and sack leader for the Lions, out for the season. "He had five sacks, so I've got to step up and try to replace that and contribute what he was contributing," Edwards said. "James was the much more dominant right end. Now I have to be that dominant right end. I have confidence I can do it. I've done it before." HC Rod Marinelli has confidence Edwards can do it, too. "It's his time," Marinelli said, "and I think he'll do well."
