Jarrad Page or Bernard Pollard? (1 Viewer)

From the thread regarding next Kerry Rhodes/Ryans - Jarred Pages name is brought up.

If I am reading the base defense - KC plays standard 4-3 not Tampa 2 - so who is more likely to be the better fantasy player. Traditionally the safety that plays closer to the box will have the better scoring - but Page seems to do alot roaming the secondary - interceptions, big plays. So if you're scoring is tackle heavy am I correct in assuming that Pollard would be the better choice and if you are more geared toward big plays Page would be the better choice. I see good things for both - but realistically who has the better chance of cracking the top 10-15 safeties?

ETA that Jene did give his opinion in the Kerry Rhodes/Ryans thread. Mine question regarding the safeties is is for dynasty purposes.

Quoting because I'm lazy. I think there will be more elements of the Cover-2 with the increased safety speed this season.

I'm assuming that Pollard and Page will be used in a traditional SS/FS alignment, mostly because Pollard might struggle in deep coverage. Pollard is probably good enough to handle deep half coverage, though, especially if he doesn't have to keep up one-on-one in the Cover-2.The Jets were a mess at safety before 2005 under Herm Edwards so it's hard to draw too many conclusions, but both Erik Coleman and Kerry Rhodes were productive in 2005 despite playing behind Jonathan Vilma. If Edwards/Cunningham use the interchangeable safety system, both will probably have good value. Page has the big play capability to overcome any minor left-right safety bias.

Jean So, if you were to chose between one of them - (I have both) who at this point would you keep? Who has the most potential and if they are going to more Tampa 2 does that mean that the value of both will take a dip?
