Do you think Jason Boltus could be a draft-able QB? Does he have what it take to be a real Pro prospect? I haven't been able to watch much of him but what I have, I liked. What do you guys think?

Height: 6-3 Weight: 225

Position: QB

40 Time: 4.82 40 Low: 4.72 40 High: 4.90

Athletic gunslinger type - great arm strength, throw pills and has a huge deep ball, but doesn't throw touch passes well - I would say out of the Shrine/Senior Bowl/Tx vs the Nation QBs, he was a top 10 QB, and more impressive than big school guys like Cantwell, Daniel, Parker Wilson, Harrell

There is an internet rumor that New England is interested in him. If you remember, New England took Kevin O'Connell in the 3rd round last year. You have to wonder how much that will raise Boltus's draft stock. It is one of the reasons the second day of the draft will be interesting.

For clarification, O'Connell is very far from a D2 QB. He came out of San Diego State, which is a part of the Mountain West (home to Utah, TCU, and BYU as well).

You are right. I will correct my post.

Where do you rank him with other QBs? Will he be drafted?

I would easily put him in the 12-15 range, and I think there's a 50-50 shot he'll get drafted.

What team(s) do you think would take a chance on drafting him?Would a team like Denver, if they don't draft Sanchez, take a look at him?

I think any team would be wise to take him late - he has the athleticism and arm strength to develop into at least a decent backup. He would probably work best in a downfield throwing offense like Oakland, Baltimore, Tampa.
