What are the odds Jason Snelling can be a feature back this year? I remember him putting up monster numbers in one game last year when Turner was out. Doe she have any buyers?
Snelling is very much not feature back material. He runs hard with good power and lean, but has no acceleration or suddenness, nor much elusiveness. He is a guy that can do adequately well as a feature back behind a strong offensive line, but will do nothing of consequence otherwise.
He is a good complementary short yardage and power back with good receiving skills, but is not a weapon that an offense wants to feature.
he is the perfect #2 back, does everything well- block, catch, pass, runs with power, etc... Just doesn't have the explosiveness to earn a starting gig
I don't think he'll be a feature back but he could be the lesser part of a RBBC and if pressed into service could be quite productive. He's a decent player, capable of putting up solid numbers, but he's not good enough for anyone to hand him a starting gig I don't think.
ATL-if Turner went down AND they are somehow able to keep their o-line (FA).
Indy-This could be a perfect "no one thinks about it on the surface" gem. The offense is prolific enough to where he could be a guy getting goal line work and is the type of runner that could churn out yards and keep clock moving. In that offense, he doesn't have to be dynamic and "ray Rice-like" or anything: just a guy that ends up each week with 18-20 for 70-90 and probably a short TD most weeks. That translates to top 15-20 in FF.
Was just going to say that he's a guy I could see replacing Cincy as his game would be a good fit. The Bengals do not see Scott as an every down back. Snelling is one of the more Bensonesque guys out there.-QG

seems to me like that is what they are hoping to get out of Delone Carter. Not sure Snelling is a significant upgrade over Mike Hart since they are similar type of players.
Not a feature guy. Solid, versatile backup and can give nice stats when filling in. Reminds me of Lamont Jordan, solid backup who was quickly exposed as a guy unable to sustain holding up as a featured back.
Definitely don't expect a team to make Snelling their featured back.

That would take away from alot of his value. He is best used well rested to provide a spark. We've seen him be good as the feature guy in spurts but it hurts him long run.
No team is going to bring him in as a starter. Only way he becomes one is due to major injuries from those ahead of him on the depth chart. Even then he would share the load at best.
Decent backup but would be the worst starting rb in the NFL.
