Are the Colts for real? (1 Viewer)

More of an actual football question than a fantasy one. I’ve only seen them in highlights this year but damn they look good and are putting up a ton of points. Has Daniel Jones turned the page? Reminds me of that first year for Kurt Warner with the Rams when they came out of nowhere and outscored everyone.

Yes. Not the greatest show on turf, but good oline, great RB, very good TE, and deep WR group with Pittman, Pierce, and Downs. Daniel Jones ... he has been a top 5-10 QB this year. He was very good versus the Broncos, leading the Colts to over 470 yards.

Tomorrow @LAR will be another good test. The experts disagree with me, LAR is a 2.5 pt favorite.

They are real humans playing football, with league uniforms and everything.

Danny Dimes is going to Danny Dimes at some point, and probably right when I bet on them + 3.5 points, like I did this week. I apologize in advance for the Colts pending loss.

The defense seems to be legit as well. The Colts could make some noise this year - last year it was the Commanders - you just never know how things will play out in the NFL.

The opponents they've beat are a combined 1-8. You can only play who's on your schedule but certainly reason to think they may be paper tigers at this point. Although they were 8-9 last year with some truly abysmal QB'ing so some improvement this year is not out of the question. Even Danny Dimes as an upgrade may be enough to get them over the hump and into the playoffs. Also helps their schedule is mostly a cake walk and the rest of the teams in their division are a mess.

They've got a deep talented offense and a qb who can follow the game plan. That's enough for any team to get a wildcard, and the Colts play in a crap division.

Today will be a telling game. If they beat the Rams or make it close game with Jones playing like he has this far,Colts are here to stay and will be in playoffs.

We’re going to find out today if they are contenders or pretenders. So far, they look like a playoff team. Daniel Jones might be last year’s Sam Darnold.

Shoulda won on the road against a tough Ram D. Mitchell cost them 2 TD’s. I didn’t like the play calling. No designed roll outs to get Jones moving away from pass rush from Verse. Didn’t run at all. No deception. Just let Dimes drop back in the pocket. He played well for the most part but made 2 bad throws. Still think they are for real.

It's amazing what some teams look like when they get a decent starting Quarterback that's not afraid to be a leader on the sidelines
It's amazing what a Quarterback can do like Daniel Jones when they get even decent protection and have good play calling and the support of everyone around him
I thought the Colts played well yesterday and I thought they were going to win the game until the Rams exploded on long pass plays
The Colts are going to win a lot more football games this season, they look solid

Despite the loss, yes, they are for real. We'll never know how the game plays out if Mitchell isn't a moron on what should have been that long TD, but they went toe to toe with a top NFC contender and basically lost at the gun. I don't see them being a major threat to the top AFC contenders (Bills, Chiefs, Chargers), but they could win their division and be a tough out in the playoffs.
