Taylor to Be Out 10 Days to 2 Weeks
Jim Zorn has confirmed that an MRI Sunday showed that Jason Taylor suffered only a sprained knee Saturday night in Charlotte.
Jason Reid reports that Taylor, whose knee was hit in a pileup in the second quarter of the Redskins' 47-3 loss, will be out 10 days to two weeks and, Zorn said, the team will proceed cautiously with him. That means that whether he is ready for the opener isn't certain. Zorn would prefer, obviously, to have him for the last 15 games rather than the opener.
That timetable would, though, put Taylor's streak starting 130 regular-season games in jeopary. The injury initially looked serious, with Taylor writhing on the ground and screaming. He limped off the field, however, and was treated briefly on the sideline. Then he was taken to the locker room, where X-rays were negative.
Nothing has change with Jon Jansen, who sprained his foot. He could be out a couple of days, jansen said.
could of been alot worse
