Jason Taylor vs Lions Yesterday (1 Viewer)

Did not see the game. Who was blocking Taylor for the Lions? Is it a similar situation to last week when Ju Peppers did nothing but the rest of the Panthers defense had a great day because all the attention was on Peppers?

It seemed like he might have been getting doubled more often than not, certainly nore often than anyone else, but its still pretty surprising seeing he didnt get even one sack since Kitna was pressured all day and MIA had 8-9 sacks I think.

Whats more surprising is he didnt even get a tackle

First Peppers, now Taylor. Even the ultra-elite DEs can be defanged by a scheme designed specifically to stop them. Of course, the rest of the D-line goes off because the blocking schemes are so obsessed with them. Too bad they can't get a share of the stats (like when shut down corners get fewer tackles because no one will throw at them).

He's still far and away the #2 option behind Peppers on my list, and I wouldnt argue if you slotted him #1.

It would be very nice to know in advance what the game plan is :- Stop elite DL XXX at all costs and let the other DLs try to beat usor- Regular game plan
