Those two seemed to be focused on a bit more during the Charger game.In reality I think it's just a serious hit to Cutler's value.Upgrade Stokely, G. Martinez, Scheffler???
nFwGuess I won't pull the trigger on that trade that would have landed me Javon.
Yes.I feel terribly bad for him. This guy can't buy a break. He destroys his knee two years ago, then makes it all the way back. He then holds his friend, Darrent Williams, in his harms as he dies. He reportedly works like a mad man during the offseason vowing to have his best season ever in honor of Williams. He gets off to a great start only to have a knee issue surface that pretty much ruins this season for him (not out for the season, but kills a "productive" season).I'll be rooting for him, and I hope he has a speedy recovery. Is it the same knee he had work on in 2005?
More like downgrade Cutler.Upgrade Stokely, G. Martinez, Scheffler???
All 3, more than likely.Keep in mind that TE Stephen Alexander was just placed on IR. Although they still have former Pat Daniel Graham, Scheffler gets two bumps up. He's much like Cutler's Witten, in that they are friends and training camp roommates. Cutler and Scheffler also came in together last year, and immediately developed a good on-field rapport. I would fully expect Scheffler to get more targets. For those that don't know, he also has a great set of hands. TEs are almost always a young QB's favorite target.Upgrade Stokely, G. Martinez, Scheffler???
Denver's season waved bye-bye awhile ago.There goes Denver's season.
It was done after the SD game. Nalen (and Henry) news just sealed it.There goes Denver's season.
good question. i must say im deeply considering it. hes done nothing for me an now he can do nothing for somebody else.-biz-safe to drop his ###?
Yet another reason why the forum is a great tool. Been trying to get him, glad I saw this in time.
I'm not sure about that. I don't think it goes down, but against better pass defenses, teams will be focusing more attention on Marshall than would otherwise be the case. Do the likely extra targets and "go to" receiver status sufficiently make up for extra defensive attention or not? Overall, I see a downtick to the overall Denver offense, especially to Cutler, and I expect Marshall to have up and down games. Up against the weaker pass defenses, down against the stronger pass defenses. So I see his overall numbers being roughly the same.Brandon Marshall's value goes up.
Brandon JacobsJavon WalkerQuick, who else did H.K. hate? Why would this surprise anyone? Knees that have to be drained don't fix themselves, so surgery should have been expected. The only mystery is why the Broncos waited.
They probably wanted to see if two weeks of rest and rehab would fix it.Why would this surprise anyone? Knees that have to be drained don't fix themselves, so surgery should have been expected. The only mystery is why the Broncos waited.
That's what makes me wonder just how long he'll be out or perhaps if he'll come back at all this season. If it truly were going to be a "few more weeks" until he comes back wouldn't they just have bitten the bullet and had the surgery done right after he was a DNP vs SD???? That would have given him two weeks of recovery before now. They must expect him to be out for an extended period if they were that hesitant to just have the knee operated on at that time.I really thought DEN would win the division this year and contend for the AFC title. What a road it's been for them this season. Maybe the effect of picking up all those CLE players the past few years. They've been hit with CLE luck this year. Why would this surprise anyone? But he had been sitting out since week #3.... he'd already had two weeks. The guy hasn't played in a month. They probably wanted to see if two weeks of rest and rehab would fix it.Why would this surprise anyone? From the article it sounded like they thought things had improved, and then when he practiced on it this week it got swollen again. When the alternative is surgery, waiting another two weeks to see if things get better without it makes sense to me - it just didn't work out.But he had been sitting out since week #3.... he'd already had two weeks. Javon has not yet reached his quota for surgeries this year.why didn't he have the surgery two weeks ago?![]()
I disagree....Marshall was benefitting from the attention Walker got from the defense. Being the #1 WR option WILL HURT him, he'll draw the coverage. I am a Marshall owner this is terrible news for BM.Brandon Marshall's value goes up.
It raises? How do you guys think this alters his dynasty value?

Walker got 28 targets in the first 2 games. Marshall got 7.5 targets in the first 2 games, and 10.3 since then. I would expect that trend to continue. The Jerk said:I'm not sure about that. Marshall will definitely be the top guy and I think he'll put up at least WR2 numbers overall. The problem is defenses will consistently roll coverage toward him and he'll need to show he can handle that. The bigger issue is Cutler's play has steadily regressed without Walker. It's clear he needs Walker badly if he's going to play well. Without Walker, defenses can sit on the intermediate routes because there's no downfield threat. Stokely is best suited to be a third WR who excels when defenders have to worry about the other WRs on the field. As a starter, he struggles to beat press coverage and get clean routes. Mainly without Walker, the vertical element has been removed. So the pressure is really on Cutler and I'm not sure he's going to be up to the challenge. He certainly hasn't been impressive the last two weeks in games where he had to throw a lot and still couldn't put up much from a fantasy perspective. I think it's going to get real ugly for him against the Steelers on Sunday night.Walker got 28 targets in the first 2 games. Marshall got 7.5 targets in the first 2 games, and 10.3 since then.
