IMO the worry with Walker himself is more in the mental/psychological department than the physical/on-the-field opportunity departments. I think he hasn't gotten over the horrible experience of 2 New Years ago (when Darrent Williams was shot to death in the same limo as Walker up in Denver - he bled out on Walker's lap and died in Walker's arms). The wild behavior in Vegas this past offseason (getting silly drunk, spraying the crowd with Cristal, getting in a stranger's car and then getting a beat down/robbery) and other indicators worry me that he'll have more off-field problems. He's emotionally unstable and prone to strange judgement calls (the talk of retiring and walking away from $55 million, for example). Also, the fact that Jamarcus Russell is still a very raw youngster with just a few NFL starts under his belt means that Walker is in for ups and downs as the near-rookie Russell continues the NFL learning curve. Some great weeks, probably, if Walker stays on the field - but also some near-nil weeks from Walker when coverage is tight and Russell throws the ball to the DBs instead of Walker. There isn't a solid #2 at WR in Oakland (Curry if he can stay healthy, but that's already been an issue during preseason) - Walker could see a lot of extra attention from opposing DBs.
