JAX homers (1 Viewer)

I didn't get a chance to see the game.

Did he look comfortable in the pocket? Did he have enough time to throw? Any glaring mistakes?

Do you think JAX made the right move in getting rid of Leftwich?

It must of been good... he was a WW pick up for me prior to the start of the season; I just traded him for C-Pep / 2008 2nd. I think I made out.

Wow. You managed to reply to none of the original post's questions. :) I'd like to get the JAX homers' thoughts as well....

The day he was announced the starter another guy picked him up twenty minutes before I did in my dynasty league. I was all "You S.O.B.!" Not that I would have started him in any games this season anyway. I have Romo and Cutler is my backup.

(My Take)David played a decent game. As has been the case for a while in Jacksonville, WRs had their share of drops. But then again a couple of guys in the titans secondary had drops as well. He threw a nice ball to Broussard for the TD, was able to move well in the pocket to buy time several times and once it paid off nicely with a completion and long run by MJD. But then Marcedes Lewis knocked the ball loose at the end of the run. I'd go as far as to say he played very well in the first half but in crunch time he was 1 or 6 for 5 yards. He's a guy who can make plays with his legs, is accurate in the short passing game, but every now and then can make terrible decisions.

(Just so you know, the local counterpoint)There are those locally that think(Vic Ketchman from jaguars.com for one) David Garrard is a new man this year and that there are great things to come. They will tell you that he's found the touch on his deep ball and playing at a very high level right now. That David played an amazing game yesterday and the other Jags held him back.

Fantasy wise I'd say with a break here or there David could have ended up with 250 yards and 2 TDs high end. But low end his only TD was an amazing driving catch by Broussard so he also could have ended up with 150 yards, no TDs and an INT or two if DBs could catch. Basically if you saw much of him last season it was more of the same.

Still, didn't answer the questions. How did he look?
