Jay Cutler wont vaccinate kids because of autism (1 Viewer)

Hey #######s that don't vaccinate your kids, thanks. Now we get to live in a world with both autism and formerly defeated illnesses like measles and mumps. Nice job.

Well, in Cutler's defense, he was probably either hammered to the point of not being able to form an intelligent thought when making those comments, or was seriously hung over from his last bender.

It's his dumb wife behind it.

Cutler hasn't had a defense in over a year.

There were less than 500 cases of measles last year, and the odds of dying from it are less than 1 in 1000. You have a much better shot at getting lost on a flight leaving Malaysia. Yeah he should probably give his kids the shot, but the risks of either choice is slim to none.

Of course, but there has been an increase in measles/mumps recently. You should probably protect your kid from it.

What are the odds of NOT dying from the measles if you're vaccinated?

Right. Let's wait until the problem is worse. Makes sense.

So your argument against getting vaccines is that measles is/was nearly eradicated among those vaccinated?

Nothing wrong with this.

It's his child. Not sure why there is always all this faux Internet outrage over these non-stories.

If the vaccines work, you shouldn't have to worry about catching it from someone who was not vaccinated, no?

It's your choice of what to put in your childrens bodies. It's also your responsibility to know what is in it. I understand the concept of vaccines, but when there are known toxins, heavy metals etc. added in them that seemingly have no practical use, they lose credibility in my mind. Of course your doctors won't tell you about that. They don't know, or they don't care.

First off its bad because Cutler is not protecting his child. He's exposing his child to risk, and that's negligence.

Second it's bad because Cutler is a famous celebrity. When he or Jenny McCarthy does this crap it influences others to do the same. Cutler has more power to influence others than does the average person, and thus greater responsibility. Sorry but that is one of the prices of his success.

Doctors will gladly talk to you about it, if you have trust issues with your doc, find another one? Or as you yourself put it, take responsibility yourself to learn:

Vaccine ingredients

Mercury/Thimerosol in vaccines

His wife is a real piece of ###. I have always suspected she could bang your brains out.

I believe I have the proof.

doesnt affect our children but it affects children who arent vaccinated and they had no choice in their parents stupidity. Thats the reason for the outrage.Edit: forgot about the babies who havent been vaccinated yet

No, that is not the case. Vaccines are very effective - but not always 100% effective. Also, infants and toddlers often haven't had all their vaccines so, if they are exposed, they can get very sick. Parents who don't vaccinate their kids are being extraordinarily irresponsible with both their child's health and the public's health.

A child who's too young to vaccinate and catches it from an unvaccinated kid, though, will get very sick and possibly die.

Also, vaccines are about 99% effective. Which is great as long as everyone gets vaccinated.

Excellent point. So let me add to my list a third reason it's bad- puts infants and toddlers at greater risk; threat to public health.

Or if someone goes oversees and brings it back as a carrier and then passes it onto your un-vaccinated child.

It's willful and negligent ignorance.

In the mid-60s the USA would report 500,000 measles cases, 48,000 children hospitalized per year, and 500 deaths. Not sure of the data on brain damage and deafness directly tied to measles.

In 2004, there were 17 37 cases.

2013, 170.

2014, it's 288 and counting. 85% of reported cases are from people who don't vaccinate because of religious or philosophical reasons.

It has to be higher than that, this month Ohio has experienced an epidemic. Over 700 cases of measles or mumps across 9 counties.
