Interesting. Sounds like he's very open to it. Based on his experiences in Detroit, Cleveland and Philly, he needs a good supporting cast to succeed. Has he some concussions we don't know about.
Garcia running around like a chicken with his head cut off behind that line throwing the ball for 3 yards to Lamont Jordan on 3rd and 9.
I just can't see Al Davis letting Kiffin get away from Al's beloved vertical offense....and "Garcia" and "Vertical offense" are oil and water. If Al lets Kiffin run his O, maybe it works, but otherwise....
This looks like an awful fit.Garcia running around like a chicken with his head cut off behind that line throwing the ball for 3 yards to Lamont Jordan on 3rd and 9.
Now, that would be entertaining to watch. So much more fun than 3 steps back then crushed by two D-linemen on the fourth step like last year's OAK QBs.

I disagree. The flip side is a couple of statue options in Bledsoe or Trent Green. They'd get killed without substantial improvement from the O line. The Raiders are going to need someone who can scramble somewhat and throw on the run.
Don't we hear this every time a new stooge is hired? The last guy I remember being allowed to implement "his" offense was Gruden.I hope for Raider fans Al has changed....but I wouldn't bet on it.

IF Al allows Kiffin to run his own offense, sure, I agree...Garcia is better suited to the role than the statues you mentioned. I believe its a bad fit because Al will never relinquish control. JMO. I'm a big Garcia fan, but he's gotta be in a WC-style offense to find success.
