Jeopardy Baby, Ooooh-ooh-oooooh (1 Viewer)

Props to Tim Aten, though, who won more games despite missing the Final Jeopardy question than should be allowed. Lucky SOB rode the wave of sub-par opponents (and conservative wagering) to a six figure haul.

One thing Aten did do was to bet smart on the Final question, unlike many of the morons who can't seem to figure out the proper betting strategy.

I saw the internet stuff about how the girl had fulfilled a lifelong dream of being on jeopardy but did not survive long enough to see the episode air.  I had no idea she won!  Good for her.  I was ticked, however, when my wife got the Final Jeopardy answer correct and I didn't.  This rarely happens!

what was it?

I started up North and drifted South, ticking them off and never came up with one that worked

Caracas

Bogata

Quito

Lima

Brasilia

Buenos Aires

Montivideo

La Paz

I never got to Santiago and I would not have.

Do you think, if she qualifies, Alex will make the usual comment when she loses of "We'll see you in our Tournament of Champions", or do you think they knew she wouldn't make it until then?

He hasnt addressed it at all.  I do hope he does but maybe she didnt want it mentioned.

The story also said that after she qualified for the show she let producers know that she likely only had a few months to live so they moved her up in line for taping.  What usually is a few month wait was only 3 weeks for her.

Damn, tough way for it to end. She would have won if she had not added the "g" at the end of the word in that stupid rhymin' simon category.

what did they do? i didn't see anything during the game. was it something during end-credits?
After the end-of-game commercial, instead of the usual "contestants standing around talking to Alex" scene, they came back to Alex explaining that being on Jeopardy fulfilled her life-long desire, that she was Stage 4 during the taping and that she died on Dec. 5.  Then cut to an "in Memoriam" pic of her for a few seconds.  My wife's reaction was "Boy, that makes you want to cry."

Tim is a pretty cool guy I've gathered from the couple times I chatted with him. Works for Wizards of the Coast, helping to produce M:TG.

No in looks, but she reminds me of the Australian hurdler, Michelle Jenneke who's famous for her dances.  I know Cutts doesn't dance but there is a lot of body movement when she's answering questions.

The first college game had an androgynous Chinese woman from MIT, a gay guy from SFSU and a Jew from Yeshiva.   oooof

Bring back Kirstin.

Here ya go folks. A 15 minute Skype interview with Kirsten a local radio station in Tampa posted this morning.

"Kirstin joins us live via skype from her apartment to discuss her appearances on the game show and the sensational internet reaction to her girl-next-door hotness that has nerds across the globe professing their love all over the inter-webs!"
