Please See Mine

I honestly know very little about this guy, but I just picked him up now that I had to drop Schmidt.

4-1 with a 4:1 K-BB ratio, 2.42 E.R.A and .89 WHIP. He's also gone deep into games: In his last 9 starts (which I guess is when he was moved to the rotation permanently) he's averaged 7.34 innings.

Seems to have been pedestrian the last 3 years with Cleveland.

High hopes or will the bottom fall out now that he's on my team?

I haven't seen him pitch this year, but I honestly don't think he's very good. He was never very good in the minors, was downright horrible in the majors, and now he's figured it out? His K:BB rate has always been awful as well. Even last year in AAA it wasn't 2:1.

I guess it's possible that this is his career year and he's going to be respectable throughout, but his 3 IP, 9 ER outing won't be happening on my team.

He looked dominant last night in person. The Padre offense isn't scaring anyone, but they've been hot lately and Guthrie completely shut them down. Over the first 5 innings, there weren't even any hard hit balls.

Maybe he HAS figured it out. A good start or 3 is a fluke, but he's been sensational for about 7 or 8 starts. Sometimes, something just clicks home.Of course, now that I picked him out, he'll revert to his prior self.

Another quality start out of Guthrie. I added him for his two starts this week, but I don't think I'm dropping him anytime soon.
He's been on my roster for about 3 weeks. Started him for the first time last week against SD. I didn't have the stones to do it this week with NYY and LAA on the docket.

Sat him last night too. :wall:Damn Yankees ain't what they used to be. Also benched Francis last week in Coors against them and he gave up 1 run.

Perhaps you should stop benching him regardless of the situation
