What are your thoughts on Jerry Porter for the rest of the season now that he is healthy? Will he be the Jags number 1 WR? Can be put up WR 2-3 numbers the rest of the way?
I should dump him. Instead I dumped Walters one league in hopes he ever produces and look what happens. I might just rid myself of him altogether this week!
Then your get a Walters type game for sure! 2 tds 85 yards. ect.
Happens every time I give up on a wasted bench spot player!

He's never been THAT good to begin with. Then you factor in the Jaguars are a run first team. Then you factor in the troubles they've had with the offensive line and the offense in general. I just haven't and still don't expect big things from him. It doesn't help that while the offense has stunk, Matt Jones has looked very good. Not game breaking, but in that offense, he's been very steady for them this season.
So, the takeaway message is that Porter's not going to be great this season. If he manages to give you WR3 numbers the rest of the way, you should feel good about him.
Didn't seem to get a lot of action in the game. It was all Matt Jones and his 8yd slant routes.
You can't really expect him to light it up right off the bat IMO. He is just getting healthy. For the long haul, I might expect mediocre numbers sprinkled with a few great games - servicable in deeper leagues.
Mike Walker is finally looking like a solid receiver, Reggie Williams will get his looks, and Matt Jones is averaging just shy of 8 targets a game. Until he develops a rapport with Garrard and gets up to full speed (thats an 'if'), I wouldn't start him.
I watched parts of the Jags game and never even saw Porter in. Did he play in week 5? Odd you would pay a guy this kind of money, have an O cordinator and a QB praise you so much and not see what you have in a game.
Walker seems to have moved ahead of him and maybe Williams.

Porter has played the last two weeks but usually only when they go with 4 WR's. The Jag's shuffle their WR's. Matt Jones for instance never played on first down against the Steelers when the Jags lined up with 1 or 2 WR's. The inactivity with the groin has hampered Porters conditioning. It's possible he could come back in 3 weeks, after the bye, improve his conditioning and claim the #1 job but considering how the Jags rotate WR's I don't think there going to be a #1 WR on the team.

Well if he didn't slip and fall (out of the view of the camera) on the only play his way, you would have been able to see him suck. Instead everyone wondered why Garrard was throwing to nobody.
