#2? Between LJ and Henry, I'm pretty sure he's my #1 now. He's played pretty well, I don't see why he couldn't 80% of Brown was getting, plus he's got to feel like he's auditioning for a starting job somewhere else, or even in MIA, if Brown doesn't heal well.

ronnie brown was sure catching lots of balls... PPR might be nice...
He's averaging what FWP is for me in a PPR league in his 2 weeks of action. I turned down a trade offer for him because as a FWP owner, I know that he has trouble with the Ravens and probably will against the Pats. Chatman plays Buffalo and Cincy those two weeks. With Brady out this week, I am starting him at my Flex spot. Also, Chatman plays the Jets in week 13. He seems like a good option in weeks 10, 13, 14 and 17. He has some really tough games the other weeks, but maybe because of his receiving he will still be OK, alah Westbrook and Bush who you play in PPR against anyone because they can get a ton receiving if the running game is stifled.

Does anyone think Chatman has any dynasty value at all? I must admit, as bad as the dolphins have been i've still been impressed with this guy's skills. He reminds of a mini Natrone Means.

I think he has been playing well in place of Ronnie. He had nice stats yesterday, and he also got something like a 32 yard reception called back.

for some reason i've heard whispers/rumors that the fins owner fancies mcfadden. if u have ronnie and chatman i don't see why but i've heard/read them none the less.

FBG 250 forward is VERY high on chatman from here on out. Anyone else targeting him? If so what does it take to get him? Losing ADP and LJ in consecutive weeks has me scrambling, with trade deadlines this week.

BUF, BAL, NE playoff schedule doesnt excite me too much.

If you recall, Chapman challenged Brown for the tarting job (and some carries). I think as long as Chapman catches 4-5 balls a game, hes a very solid No. 2 here on out

Agreed. Hopefully one of my hurt guys would be back by then - I need someone to get me there though.

The only bright spot for the Dolphins this year has been their Oline and running the ball.

The 2nd rd pick they got from the Welker trade got them Satele - who has started every game a C all season.

Chatman will continue to have good games from here on out.

He seems like a good guy to go after, someone you might get for much less than real value if he is owned by a dunce in your league. Lack of name recognition, picked up for nothing as an FA, on a ####ty Dolphins team, etc.

They have Chatman ranked #5 on the prelim cheatsheets. What does everyone think about that? Is Philly's run D really that soft?

I don't know if Philly's D is that soft, but Chatman is the focal point of the Dolphins offense right now. He is good at running and catching. The Dolphins should have won last week. If Ginn, Jr.'s return touchdown hadn't been called back, they would have beaten Buffalo.

I've offered D. Foster and Santonio Holmes for Chatman and Stalworth - not sure it will get it done.

They shut down ADP a few weeks ago.
:lmao: Not saying Chatman shouldn't be ranked that high, I would just like to hear the rationale behind having him that high. He has been gaining yardage, but hasn't really been finding the end zone.

I think his ranking (haven't seen it yet with my own eyes) is probably due to the sheer volume of touches he's getting. IIRC, he had 27-ish carries and another 3-4 catches last week. And I thought I remembered hearing that Neal (his backup) got nicked up a bit toward the end of the game?

Either way, if you give a guy like Chatman 30 odd touches, he'll do SOMETHING with them ... he seems to bring a lot of energy into every opportunity he gets.

i traded ben rothlisberger for chatman...i lost LJ and i needed a RB to stay in title contention. I have favre as my qb still

Not so sure about that. Yes, ADP didn't go crazy, but him and Taylor had a 107 total yards and then in the last two weeks Barber/Jones had 185 total yards and 2TDs and Portis had 157 total yards. Even the woeful Bears had 119 total yards in Benson/Peterson the week before ADP and the week before that Thomas Jones had 141 total yards.I would guess that Chatman, being the focal point, will get at least 5 receptions (Barber/Jones had 6 and Portis had 4) and with that, should definitely get above 100 total yards. Give him a chance for a TD and you have a nice game, especially in PPR leagues like mine.If Bush isn't healthy this week, I may go with Chatman/Chester Taylor instead of Parker/Bush since I am in a PPR league and I like both Chatman and Taylor to have a few receptions. If Bush is healthy, gonna be tough to pick between the 4 of them because of the matchups and Parkers lack of TDs.

:goodposting: If you need him to get you to the playoffs, give up what you would for a solid RB2. If you are pretty sure you are in the playoffs, ignore him or sell him if you can.

Why even post about the guy as if you know what you are talking about if you don't even know his name?

Anyone think Chatman could ever be a bonafide starting NFL RB instead of an emergency backup?
After watching him play, yes. The guy runs hard and almost never goes down to the first guy to hit him. He is not elusive, but he punishes anyone who tries to stop him.

Why be a jerk? He mispelled Chatman's last name, so what?
Twice?Yeah, maybe I was being a jerk but the quality of information given here gets worse every year. 4-5 catches a game? The guy put up 100 total yards followed by 149 yards on a crappy team. Number 2? I bet dollars to donuts Giants4Life has not watched him take a single handoff.

I'm curious what Chatman's ranking will be after it is changed to reflect the news that John Beck is starting this week after all.

Downgrade? Or little/no effect?

Just my opinion but the offensive line is the only bright spot on the team right now. They can run the ball effectively even when the defense knows they are going to run. I would say maybe a slight downgrade but not much. He is still a starter if you have him.Interesting tidbit:He is averaging 5 YPC.

Well, does Chatman get a big downgrade w/ Beck starting? Or is Miami good enough running the ball to overcome the rookie QB struggles?

So Im assuming Miami has a good OLine and/or Cameron is a good playcaller hence Chatman's success.
They have a good run-blocking line and their line is much better overall than last year. Samson Satele was a very good addition for them, but I think most of the improvement is due to coaching.
