Jets at Seahawks (1 Viewer)

Anybody who is actually watching the game can you tell me what package they used Tebow in? Was it the wildcat or actually under center? Saw he has 2 completions already.

From the shotgun, but each was a play that was designed to look like a run.

Three possessions for Seattle. All starting near their own 40. Jets offense looked horrible on 2nd and 3rd possession.

Oops. Wilson with a bad mistake gives up a free TD to Jets. Happy feet in the pocket, looked to tuck it and run, but had nowhere to go. Stripped and Jets get an easy 6.

Plays the Jets in Seattle today. This is the first time Seattle walks into a game heavily favored this year. Seattle is a very young team. This is the sort of game where I somewhat expect Seattle to disappoint. I think we get a good look at where our future expectations will go with this team. They've shown tons of potential. Will they start to become a more dominant team that crushes an inferior opponent? Or will they struggle to find consistency and allow the Jets to make this a game? Given the way Wilson has approached his craft to this point I fully expect him to come out prepared to play, but I have doubts about some of his teammates. I won't be surprised to see mental lapses or guys playing down to the level of their opponents.
Two Seattle turnovers already in this game. Not shocked at all. Have had multiple opportunities to turn this game into a laugher early, but Seattle blowing it with turnovers by Wilson and Lynch.

3rd and short near midfield for Jets. Confusion over who is in at QB between Sanchez and Tebow leads to Jets burning a T.O.

Richard Sherman with a great INT near the goal line. He totally got Sanchez to throw that by laying off making it look like the target was open in the flat.

Saw this post in the Wilson thread and agree with the assessment. One thing I wanted to see was some more designed run plays for Wilson, in light of all the talk of blitzing and keeping him off balance. I think there should be some fairly simple halftime adjustments to keep that Jets D more honest.

Keller WAS open...Sanchez just triple clutchedIf that ball comes out on time it's an easy TD
Agreed. Sanchez had his eyes on a different target at the snap. If the ball comes out earlier it was likely a TD, but Sherman didn't initially close the gap. He purposefully stayed off making it look open.

Jets doing a good job of limiting Lynch's yards after contact

Devito playing a staunch game so far

Too bad the offense looks so ####ty

Looks like two mediocre teams with issues. Was hoping to see Seattle come out and look much better, but that just isn't so.

Seattle being out-schemed again; this is a recurring theme through the midseason.

Seattle at the 1.

Wife and I just had a conversation about the old days. Remember when 1st at the one meant an automatic 6 for Alexander behind Walter and Hutch? Nice to see them get behind Okung there and plow one in.

Uh oh... under review.

I don't know that I'd call that "happy feet". I always took that term to mean getting antsy in the pocket when there isn't pressure to justify it. He's had lots of it in the backfield today. If anything it seems like he was trying too hard after a few escapes earlier in the game and it caught him. He's obviously not protecting the ball well today, which is odd, but he's doing great work with his feet today.

Bad coaching there IMO

Gates needs to be told that if it's kicked into the EZ to down it

Gave up what amounted to a free timeout there by taking it out and letting the clock run down under 2:00

I think you're right. Happy feet is a poor assessment. He was looking for an out attempting to escape the pocket and it just wasn't there.

Damn, he's getting sick back there. I've noticed that over the course of the season he's not immediately running for out of the pocket anymore. He tries to stay in at first and then bails to the outside.
