Washington is technically the starter, although Barlow will likely play as well and probably be the short-yardage guy.How much Houston plays remains to be seen.

Not sure if it's sarcastic or not, but just going off what I know/hear as a Jets homer. But with Mangini, not much is known - he's a very keep-it-close-to-the-vest kind of coach, like his mentor.
What Zamboni said is pretty much what I think as well. However...Houston has me a little concerned because I'd like to know if he's going to cut into Leon's carries.
Naturally I have a vested interest as both a Jets fan and a Tatum Bell/Leon owner. I was hoping that after Tatum stubbed his toes that I could ride Leon with very little dropoff.

It's been a while since I saw Houston playing. He replaced Barlow at the GL once Leon established himself some. Barlow had been stopped and it was like him needing a breather or coach's switch. I wouldn't be surprised if Houston's role is to backup both and he won't be a major part in the Jets plans. IIRC Houston and Blaylock were splitting which was inactive so it's possible/somewhat likely Mangini doesn't even have him active each Sunday.Askew(FB) is supposed to be able to run and catch pretty well. I haven't seen him get enough touches but I wouldn't be surprised if he and Brad Smith are the depth in Mangini's opinion and he prefers an extra DL or somesuch on Sunday. Brad Smith isn't a traditional RB but if Leon sits out a play, there's a sub and the rest he needed.
I think Washington has established himself as the RB who will get the most touches. If Houston steals carries, I think it will be from Barlow, but has been discussed, this is pure crystal balling at this point. In fact, I haven't heard anything that says whether or not Houston is 100% yet, but most people are guessing he is ready to play again.
I think most people may be disappointed. Mangini has taken some cues from Belichick, and one is to very tight lipped about the extent of injuries. Belichick has listed some players as questionable or doubtful who were definitely out and recovering from surgery (Troy Brown and Deion Branch). Mangini has acted similiarly. Simply put, we have no idea of the severity of Houston's injury and how close he is too full recovery. Unless he has suddenly become a more talented player in the last few weeks, he isn' taking many carries from Washington unless he is 100% or Washington continues fumbling.
