Perine has one decent run and then possibly sprained his ankle. Sounds about right.

I made a joking post on a Skins board the other day about the parallels between the Skins RB situation now and the Falcons situation a couple years ago--Perine in the Freeman role with the disappointing rookie season as a 4th round pick who had good tape but meh measurables, Guice in the Coleman role as the explosive 2nd round pick expected to be the man, who gets injured and allows the former 4th rounder to break out...with the "what if" angle of Perine having the game slow down and running with the power and decisiveness he showed at times in college.

Will never happen but the situations are similar on a shallow first glance.

I still think Coleman is the better back.

I didn't tune in for it, but I like watching him play. I never understood why he hasn't been utilized more, especially last year with Forte running in quicksand.
Same here. He always looks better as the season goes on. I have no idea what they were doing with Forte last year.

See, I wanted to tank.

ok - solid series for Sam. Nothing spectacular but showed some poised, moved around and once again showed great accuracy.

We all did, well except for one person that continuously chided us for it.
Yeah, I'm totally kidding. Holy crikey those were fun discussions to read.

"No, you don't understand. Nobody wants us to tank."

"See, the problem with you guys wanting them to tank is..."

Yeah, Freeman.
Coleman is a better athlete than he is RB. He's pretty stiff and has so-so vision, he's just crazy fast in a straight line. I'm not sure Coleman is even half as talented as Freeman to be honest but I respect your opinion because you're a fan of Aesop Rock.

Wow. Okay. I'll defer to your knowledge.

And yes. Huge fan. Just took him in a music draft in the FFA.

Would like to see Marshall on offense (bad timing for this comment after the fumble on his KR). Gruden seems to like him and has repeatedly said he wants a backup RB on the roster who can fill Chris Thompson's role. That's either Marshall or Bibbs based on the current roster. And one of those guys will play, knowing CT's injury history

Looks like we'll get to see Sam inside the twenty again.

eta* Guess not.

Thomas is fighting for his roster spot. It's going to be tough. Flowers offers a lot of versatility.

Soooo, are we gonna have to listen to Jeff Triplette for replay expertise?

And why are my letters so tiny?

He is the worst RB prospect to get meaningful playing time in the NFL in my lifetime.
He's like a 2nd percentile athlete at the position. Its kind of amazing he even got a camp invite out of college. He's so bad, his meh performance in the NFL so far really shows how replaceable the position is with a decent OL. The Skins barely have a decent OL and he has far exceeded anything he had any right to do.

and he did absolutely nothing in college. As a 23 year old senior at Tulane, he had 265 total yards and averaged 3.6 ypc in 12 games. There were 2 players with more rushing yards than him and 6 players with a better ypc.
