I highlighted what I think hits the nail on the head. There's no genuineness there anymore.

You guys don't get it. You guys are almost as funny as the show itself.

Here's a hint....he knows he's being arrogant over the top and forced. It's his schtick. He's joking, people...and his focus is entertainment, he's not a news reporter. If you are listening to Rome's show expecting to get the latest insight into your favorite teams, you are going to be sorely disappointed. He's not really outraged about the people harassing him after voting...its like an episode of Seinfeld, people aren't really that neurotic on a regular basis, they are caricatures. He's just being a caricature and acting over the top and forced on purpose.

It's just like professional wrestling.

He used to be great before he sold out. He used to call guys out constantly. Now he's more about guests, making buddy buddy, playing nice. Back in the old days he never used to have on big time guests daily, it was just him ranting on guys 24.7. But he's got the show, he's older, he plays nice wayyyy too much. He used to just kill people for an hour, it was awesome. Currently he'll only rag on all but the worst offenders, the big time ####### who everyone else rags on. It's just gotten boring.

That was awesome, I played golf one day with Everett & Jackie Slater at Yorba Linda Country Club in Orange County, Ca. and we discussed that. Everett had harsher words about Rome than me refering to him as an ever enlarging rectal opening. Everett said something to the effect that Rome was a rectal opening many times larger than the Grand Canyon.

I DVR Rome is Burning everyday along with ATH.

I enjoy Rome and he does pretty good interviews.

I am from Boston, so I don't have access to his Radio show, that is probably why I don't mind him.

Jim Rome is as relevant today as his '90s goatee. If you can find Phil Hendrie's hilarious impression of Rome on the Internet, it's worth hearing.

But as bad as Rome is, it's the listeners who wait for that perfect moment to fax, call or text some lame joke that invoke my pity. I mean, who are these people?

Probably the same kind of people who spend a lot of time on FF Forum Boards. Someone else out there has pity for us.

We're not here to get a pat on the head for regurgitating inside jokes over and over. But you do have a point. The clowns who kept up the "Tatum Bell" posts here are probably the same folks who call into Rome's show.Even worse are the "This is a ploy to motivate...oh, forget it" posters who think they're being extra witty by hinting at the lameness with a nod and wink. Those are probably the faxers to Rome's show.

And the point-to-the-shirt patrol? You guys are the texters. So bring it on!
