Joe Horn - INACTIVE (1 Viewer)

from Draftsharks:

We talked to Sheldon Mickles of The Advocate about Saints WR Joe Horn, who spent all week getting treatment for a groin strain. "Unless they made a decision today (we don't have access to the coaches or players on Saturday), I think Horn will be a game-time decision," said Mickles. "I would think that Devery Henderson would see a lot of action if Horn can't play." Horn has had a big season so far and has always fought through injuries when humanly possible. We wouldn't be surprised if he suited up, but as more of a decoy. WR-starved fantasy GMs could put Devery Henderson on deck as a pinch-hitter.

Horn expected to start, 11/4

New Orleans Saints WR Joe Horn is expected to start Sunday's game after returning to practice on Friday. Horn is officially questionable with a sore groin. Source: Times Picayune.

He's tough - he'll play. He'll play just enough to screw up anyone who starts Henderson, but not so well that Colston won't get off.

I have a very good source who tells me that Joe Horn did not travel and will be inactive today. This is the kind of info that cannot be verified, so do what you want with it. I have him in 2 leagues and will not be starting him.

Who is your source. I cannot see how noone else would not have picked this up. If this turns out to be true great post by you...If not, well.....You fill in the rest.

Well....He made the tripNO - WR Horn Game Time DecisionSummary: Joe Horn looks like he'll be a game time decision. We'll have official word here about 45 minutes before the 1 PM kickoff so stay tuned.

I guess the real question is how this will affect Colston if he does not play. I would think you would need to sit him.

Bucs/Saints Inactives

Luke McCown will be the Bucs emergency third quarterback today, his first game in uniform since the team moved him to the active roster on Friday.

The Bucs inactives today are cornerback Alan Zemaitis, fullback Jerald Sowell, tackle Donald Penn, guard Jeb Terry, wide receiver Maurice Stovall, wide receiver Mark Jones and defensive lineman Julian Jenkins.

McCown would only see action today if Gradkowski and his backup Tim Rattay are hurt in the game.

The Saints are missing two starters - wide receiver Joe Horn and left tackle Jammal Brown. Rookie tackle Zach Strief, who will go up against Simeon Rice, will start in Brown’s place and Terrance Copper will start in Horn’s place.

Any ideas on how this effects M. Colston? More looks from Brees or double coverage from Tampa?

My feeling is Colston gets the double coverage most often-could be an excellent test for him and give us a glimpse of the future when Horn moves on, and Reggie Bush gets a ton of looks in the passing game.

So if Joe Horn is not starting today, does that mean Devery Henderson gets the start? I know Terrance Copper is more of a special teams player but Devery has been in Payton's doghouse for some time now.

I think this is an obvious downgrade for Colston and a likely upgrade for Henderson & Bush (especiallly in PPR for Bush), but what about the overall impact for Brees?

I am benching colston this week now with horn down. He will have a tough day today. Even though Horn is getting up there he is still respected on the field and the rest of the WRs on NO are not.

If effing sportsline weren't so damn slow I'd have been able to swap horn out.

Seriously, I'm paying, what, 30 bucks a year for a crappy service that I can't access when I need to most?
