Joe Horn (1 Viewer)

He's younger than Galloway was last year. He's way younger than McCardell. He also led New Orleans in yardage week 2, and Colston's numbers only looked good because of the one freaky play; prior to that fourth-quarter play, Colston had 3 receptions for 23 yards, and if his knee touches down, he winds up with, what, 4 receptions for 33 yards or something? Horn had 5 for 88.

Horn should definitely outscore Colston for the rest of the year. He might not outscore Bush, depending on how Bush is used. He (Horn) is definitely valuable; he should break 1000 yards and come up with a decent TD number as well.

Colston had a freaky play too? I only saw Cotchery

Oh, sorry, I was confused.

I guess 5/88 just isn't getting it done anymore
Week 1 he was nonexistant and he has yet to get a redzone look. Also Brees seems to love throwing to Colston especially in the red zone.
He had a red zone target in week 1 (gained five yards on first and goal at the 9). That's exactly one red zone target less than Colston on the year. Small sample sizes; Horn will get his.

Joe is struggling with all the attention he is getting. Noone cares about number 2 right now and Horn is getting doubled every play. Now, these guys are stepping up, and the more the step up the more Horn will get open. I look for solid numbers as long as Brees stays healthy.

Bress has stated a number of times that he loves Colston. That is his Gates!

And he's only a year older than Owens.Remember, in game one he didn't give 100% on some downfield blocks and the coaching staff was on him. He seemed to play better in game two, and I could see him getting more involved once the coaches are done proving their point to him. Remember, they didn't trade Stallworth because they thought Horn was washed up.I don't think he's a stud, but he should be a solid WR3 in most leagues.

new offense pretty much all the way around. they're not going to hit their stride until week 6 or so. teams are doubling horn because they know him. give it time.

I think this is reasonable, although the one thing that would concern me is that Brees doesn't seem to lock into Horn like Brooks did. That's what made Horn so valuable over the years.
