steelcityman said:Out this weekend.Should be a decent WR3 when he returns from injury, should at least be fresh. Not sure when TB bye week is, but I wouldnt be shocked to see him sit until after their bye.I may have to cut his this week, we trim our rosters to 25 then have a 10 round supp draft. I would take him back though.
Galloway is really in the Gruden doghouse. I can't see him having any fantasy relevance for at least a month.I see Galloway getting the benched/stay at home treatment or getting cut. I really don't see his situation much differently than Garcia's.I think Gruden tired of their whining.
I think the ranking could be a reflection of two lines of thought.1.) While the Denver D as a whole is struggling, Champ Bailey is still a pre eminent CB & will likely be assigned to cover Bryant.2.) Griese is a pretty erratic QB. Which Griese shows up against Denver? Dr. Jekyl or Mr. HydeCurious as to why Antonio Bryant seems ranked relatively low this week. With Galloway out, against a bottom-of-the-barrell pass D, I'd think Galloway missing from the lineup again gives Bryant another chance to shine.
From the Blogger...October 8, 2008, 12:54 Buccaneers :: WRWith WR Galloway Sidelined, Bucs May Seek Trade For WRIra Kaufman, Tampa Tribune - [Full Article]With only a week to go before the NFL trade deadline, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face a dilemma. Given the uncertainty surrounding veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway, Tampa Bay must decide whether to pursue another downfield threat for a passing game that ranks among the league's least efficient. If the Bucs decide to add another target through a trade, they could look toward some of the league's bottom feeders for help. Roy Williams of Detroit or Torry Holt of the Rams may be available for the right price and the Chiefs may listen to offers for TE Tony Gonzalez. The Bucs are well under the salary cap and GM Bruce Allen has repeatedly suggested the club is positioned to make a run at a significant player if warranted.Any update on Galloway? Is he expected back anytime in the near future? There don't seem to be any reports on the exact nature of his injury.
Do you have anything to support this statement?Galloway is really in the Gruden doghouse.
Said Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden of WR Joey Galloway, "He's just not ready to go. It's not that he's not tough, that he doesn't want to [play] or he's not trying. He just can't go. He's still not back from it. It kills me, but that's the way it is."Do you have anything to support this statement?Galloway is really in the Gruden doghouse.

Reports are that he's practicing but limited. It sounds like he may still be a week or more away from returning. I doubt he plays this week but maybe he returns in week 8 for the Dallas game. That said, I really don't think you can count on him for the next few weeks. Even if he returns, he probably won't be 100%. But his matchups after the week 10 bye look good and hopefully he is healthy by then.anything new here?
