John Abraham (1 Viewer)

I know, the guy is always injured and may not be 100% following the surgery. But, I have until this Saturday to make a final roster move on him and there are little to no FA's still around.

Does anyone know anything about his progress and/or when he is due to return?

today:

Defensive end John Abraham, who won't play at Baltimore as he continues to recover from groin surgery, went through extensive running drills. He appeared much closer to returning than initially thought. Mora did not give an exact time for when Abraham would return, but said earlier this week he could be back within the next two weeks.

Rookie Paul Carrington did a good job filling in for Kerney, compiling five tackles and a sack which caused a fumble. Still, Atlanta can ill-afford to be without the standout end, who leads the team with five sacks and is an invaluable emotional leader, especially since Abraham is still a few weeks away from returning from abdominal surgery.

Thanks

I think I'll hold onto him. I'd hate to cut him and have him blow up over the final 5 weeks of the year. I've been playing 1 lineman short all year, what's a few more weeks?

if you cut him, he will blow up for sure the first game he gets back, then he will go out with a season ending injury, this guy just frustrates me, so much talent, but sooooo injury prone. he puts up too many big games to drop. hopefully he stays healthy this time around. but i agree with what you are doing, don't drop him, he's still a good start til he gets injured.

If anyone still cares:

Return Of DE Abraham Within Two Weeks?

Steve Wyche, Atlanta Journal Constitution - [Full Article]

Falcons DE John Abraham has been running with the team while recovering from lower abdominal surgery he had in late October. His teammates are expecting him back in Week 12 or 13, although no official word has been given by HC Jim Mora or team doctors as to when Abraham would be cleared to play.

(Rotoworld) Falcons defensive end John Abraham (groin) was removed from the Week 12 injury report after practicing without restrictions all week.

Impact: Atlanta will finally get its dominator back for a big intradivisional game against the Saints. Abe is safe to use in IDP fantasy leagues.

Safe allright.. He kicked some ### along with the rest of the Dirtybirds today! (God they are frustrating to watch and why oh why did I start him?!?)

Trading Abraham away from the Jets was one of the best moves the Jets made in the off season. I am sooooo glad he's someone else's problem now......
