John Harbaugh (Ravens) Early Game (1 Viewer)

If the Ravens win ... Jim Harbaugh is going to have more incentive to win the later game. I am sure he would not want to be the reason the "Harbaugh Bowl" failed.

But if the Ravens lose is there any letdown for Jim Harbaugh since there will be No "Harbaugh Bowl" or more incentive to make sure at least one Harbaugh represents.

I personally think there would be a bit of Letdown.

A Raven loss would be a huge downer for the harbaughs

If that happens (and it's likely) The Giants will breeze through SF.

My goodness. Just when you thought you've heard everything.....
ok that was funny, but writers do hunt to find something different to write about. I don't know if monk writes or not, but I could soooo see some writer (or announcer) rolling with this angle.I suppose momma Harbaugh would have an awesome Supe memory if so and that could be a nice sidenote.Ever seen two brothers argue with each other? Maybe fight? Sure ya have, but I don't think we've ever seen brotherly type true barking at each other in sports. That might be entertaining. Who is getting in a headlock? Who is getting a charlie horse or a noogie on top of their head?

My brother & I had a fight once where we hit each other with bicycles - not riding them, but picking them up & using them like baseball bats. I understand the brother dynamic. But to wonder if Jim - as competitive a guy as has ever coached/played - would be either less or more motivated to win based on what his brother's team did is about as MTV-reporter-at-the-SB as it gets.

I don't think Jim Harbaugh is going to be kicking back with a bucket of popcorn and a beer watching this in the locker room for 3 hours before the game.

I could see how playing your brother in the Super Bowl would mean more to either of them, eventually.

But for tomorrow, it can't mean anything to how they prepare for the game.

I always thought we'd see Peyton/Eli in the big game. Ronde/Tiki couldn't do it, but has anyone else?

Better question is are their parents going to take a private jet from BAL as soon as the game ends to SF to see the 2nd half of the NFC game and will they be wearing jerseys that are half Ravens/half 9ers?

Why would his parents watch the game on TV in Baltimore and then fly to SF? Easier just to watch the first game at a sports bar in SF and then head to Candlestick.

:goodposting: Some people really overthink things. There are few people in the world as focused on the task at hand as an NFL coach.

I think the Super Bowl is a decent consolation to the Harbaugh Bowl. But maybe you're right, no point really trying if his brother doesn't get in first. There's too many Bowl games anyways right?

We'll see tomorrow ...

If the Pats win the Giants will breeze through the niners

If the Ravens win SF will win easily

can coaches even coach with more or less effort?? he's going to only pace from the 50 to the 55 if John loses, players and assistant coaches could give a rats arze about the Ravens

....maybe if the Harbaughs were in the men's singles tennis tournament you'd have something

Yes, I saw a clear change in gameday coaching by Jim. He just wasn't really interested in winning.

What will the Harbaugh family have on the table during the super bowl? Chips? Pretzels? Will they spring for pizza or wings maybe?

I cant wait to know the answer.

Now, just to clarify, do these Harbaugh rules apply all the time or only on days when they're both playing conference championship games?

This may explain why the SF Harbaugh kept rolling with that fool returner.
This probably explains why the Raven's Harbaugh didn't call time out to give Cundiff more time. He was probably in a hurry to get home so he could watch his brother in the NFC Championship.
