One one hand I hope he, Glavine, and Maddux all retire this year, and they all go into the Hall together.

On the other hand, I am afraid that he might not get enough votes if he was up against the other two. It could help, as voters will associate them together, or it might hurt to have that many candidates at one time.

HELL Yeah
I also voted yes, but a few things come to mind when breaking down his numbers1. Never really felt he was EVER one of the best pitchers in the league

2. His records...

11-8

1 year hurt, 3 years as DOMINANT closer

14-7

16-9

14-8

2008

Just seems he had ALOT of mediocre years, considering he was usually facing #3 pitchers behind Maddux and Glavine.

These last 3 very solid years may have cemented him in, but in the ATL glory days (91-00), I didn't realize he basically had 2 great years, followed by many so/so years.

EDIT TO REMOVE INCORRECT POST SEASON INFO

I do think the pitchers of the "post strike" era, do need to be considered in a different light than there peers of the past.

12-12 is OK for post season but, for a HOFer?

1-4 in the WS.

The 1 win was a 6IP outing in which ATL beat the Yankees 12-1

Not sure what you were looking at, but he was 15-4 in the post-season. LINKHe has a lower ERA and more strikeouts than Glavine.

He has more innings, strikeouts, and a better ERA than Maddux in the post-season - who was 11-14 in the post-season.
