Picked this guy up and started him in 2 leagues. 2 assists in the 1st half. Neat-o!

Drop him when weatherspoon comes back. I figure he is a lb3 at best but dent goes to lb1 status with weatherspoon out. That's if dent stays in and he should

1 Tackle 5 Assists and NE had short stuff going all night. Not good for the strange named fella from Texas St. In a few dynasty leagues I saw some folks blow their wad on him. I'm hoping Dent is ok as he looked great tonight at ATL is going to need him.

I did the samething, Picked him up where I could. But Saturday night I noticed that according to MFL's Points Allowed By Position, the Patriots where 2nd to last (depending on your league scoring) for LBs. So I pulled him and Dent out of all my leagues. Not sure why that is since it seems Brady is throwing a lot less but something is going on that LBs aren't getting to the ball carrier as much against them.

Good call there. I was wondering what happened to Bartu and W Moore. With the Pats passing game, I figured both to post better points this week.

1-5 to me is an encouraging line. Sure 5-1 or 3-3 would have been better, but he is close to the ball. It's not as if Weatherspoon is coming back next week, if Bartu can improve over the next weeks when the byes really kick in, he'll be worthwhile

I think that's a combo of small sample distortion and a crooked measuring stick -- I assume 3-4 olb gets lumped in there as lb?

alonso had a pretty good week 1, jets d was very tough in week 2, so we only ran about 20x with no bolden/vereen to throw to and harris was in on 7 tackles, and in week 3 you saw foster in on 8 tackles and david 9.

generally speaking, I think pats are a pretty good match up for ilb, although we've been a little wr-centric lately.

I think the jets have no receivers, so they'll target winslow/cumberland 20x and run another 30, if the game script allows, which is questionable.

Team signed Thomas Howard last week. He was a WLB for the Raiders then Bengals, but tore his ACL early last year and was replaced by Burfict. I haven't heard anything about their plans for him, it could well just be a depth move or to replace Nicholas/Gaither at SLB. Looks like they used Worrilow there instead last week (or played mostly nickel), as he was in on 94% of the snaps (Bartu 100%, Dent 37%, Gaither 6%, Nicholas 0%). Note that Dent wasn't 100% healthy.

Weatherspoon is eligible to come off the IR by week 11, but I haven't heard anything about his recovery. If it was a LisFranc, he won't be ready, but seems like they wouldn't have wasted their short term IR slot if they knew that.

Bartu still got all of the snaps after a rather poor game vs the Jets before the bye, so that's a great sign that they will continue to use him at WLB and in the nickel. Haven't seen his PFF grade for Week 7, but the defense in general is still playing poorly overall, so I would not be surprised if more changes were to come.

In short, use him now, be ready to replace him later.
