A friend sent me this as he knows I love Andres and I thought this was really good. And yes, it happens to be on Rogan's show but this is about Andres. ( ;) @rockaction )

Andres is a rock star and talks about some of the things I love in sharing food and "Long Tables"

The interview is long but I qued it up to this spot that is a couple minutes and was especially good I think as they talk about conflict and humility.

Then Andres talks a bit on the vastness of the universe idea.

Rock on.

Nice sentiment Andres has about being kind. It resonates personally. My ex-girlfriend used to talk about kindness as one of the most important ways of being. I used to disagree and think that being a little more honest and not indulging radicalism or flakiness was more important.

It was odd because years went by and we talked about it one night and we had ironically decided that each other was right. Life had gone on for both of us and we saw the merits in each other’s position. I had lived a tough life after; she had a fiancé that just flaked on her (the story is not good and mental illness had also set in on a male in his twenties as is wont to happen).

And sorry is important also, but more important than that, IMO is mindfulness. Not doing it in the first place can make it so that we don’t atone constantly.

And Rogan being Rogan, we see that he immediately goes to conspiracies and GWB and alien life on earth and the government hiding it. Good job, Rogan. That’s how you butter that bread Andres just provided. LOL.

Thanks, JB.

And I had a chance to go to Gibraltar and didn’t go. I will kick myself for a while. But I did go to Hawaii and have never had a better vacation. I was so saddened by the fires.

post-script* the insignificance is interesting. Note Andres speaks about it in the orbit of mentioning a church. It’s easier to feel awe of the insignificance of your existence if you believe, I think. Nonbelievers tend to feel askew. Existential angst being an almost ironclad couplet of words and all.*

*I am a nonbeliever, so it’s not a judgment.
