Sorry if honda but I did not see this anywhere; from Draftsharks

Is Joseph Addai seriously hurt? We're staritng to hear rumors that Joseph Addai's hamstring pull is more serious than expected. We're trying to confirm a legitimate source. We are also hearing Mike Hart's knee injury will land him on IR. If the Colts make personnel moves at RB we'll know something's up. They could activate Chad Simpson off the practice squad, or re-sign Cilfton Dawson for the 3rd time. Or do both. Right now Dominic Rhodes is probably starting this Sunday at Green Bay.

Here's an article from the Star that says they are definitely looking to sign a RB. I'm not sure that indicates anything about Addai more than it shows Hart is pretty seriously hurt. I'll keep looking, but probably wont know till Sunday is my guess.Colts RB Shopping

It's common knowledge that Hart's injury is serious so for that reason alone the Colts need to sign another RB for depth purposes. So that wouldn't have anything to do with the severity of Addai's injury.

That said, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Addai's injury turned out to be something major. Felix Jones is out 2-4 weeks with a hamstring injury. I know nothing about the differences in severity of hamstring injuries but if one guy's hamstring has him possibly out for a month, it wouldn't surprise me if another guy's hamstring injury had him on the shelf for a similar amount of time.

Felix has a partial tear. Addai could have just tweaked his hammy or felt it tighten up and they didn't have a reason to risk playing him after they got a lead.

As an Addai owner I hope you're right. But having gone through the Harrison Drama last season with the Colts I can't say I'm feeling very optimistic about Dungy's appraisal of the situation. The weekly "Marvin's injury isn't serious and he should be ready to go next week" crap got real old real quick and many Harrison owners (myself included) hung onto him way too long and/or traded for him thinking he was a great Buy Low and it cost us. I hope we don't go through something similar with Addai.

I do happen to recall that the rumors we heard about the severity of Harrison's injury last season - which the Colts consistently denied - were right on the money. So if some rumors spring up regarding Addai's injury this year I'm going to listen especially if the Colts deny them.

I guess. For me, if Addai goes from being "OK" (in Dungy's words) and having what the team is calling a minor injury to missing any time at all then it becomes a major injury because it's something that could linger for several weeks and possibly the remainder of the season. That's the greater concern for me. The best news Addai owners could get is word he practiced fully this week. Most of all, I hate the thought of Addai missing out on what should be a prime matchup against the Packers this week. Green Bay's defense has major issues and if healthy, this could be Addai's best game of the season.

I disagree. The best news Addai owners can hear is he is out imo. You should have him handcuffed with Rhodes and I'd much rather be able to start Rhodes getting all the carries than Addai splitting carries since he's hurt or coming out of the game when they get a lead because he's hurt.

Addai missing time would be terrible news for his owners. Not only would he miss this week's game but now you have to worry about him missing more time down the road. If he practices fully, then the expectation would be he's as healthy as he's going to be and so you'd roll with him as usual. There's absolutely no way I want to hear that Addai is out, regardless of whether I have Rhodes handcuffed or not. I want Addai in the lineup and playing like he normally does. The best way for that to happen in my opinion is for him to be practicing fully and without any restrictions during the week. If that happens, then he should be good to go. There's a threat of injury to every RB so I can't control that.

They signed Dawson and put Hart on i.r. but what does that mean for Addai. It bothers me when Dungy is tight-lipped on injury.

I agree with RotoWorld's take on this. The Colts appear to be preparing to be without Addai this week:

Colts promoted RB Chad Simpson from their practice squad.

The undrafted free agent out of Morgan St. takes Mike Hart's roster spot. Adding both Simpson and Clifton Dawson could be a sign that Joseph Addai's hamstring injury is serious enough to put his status for Week 7 in doubt.
