JTO Benched (1 Viewer)

- been in the league since 2002 (4 seasons with Vikings, 3 with Niners)

- started 2 games last year and put up good numbers (4 TDs, 1 INT)

- the games he played in 2007 were the ONLY games he played in his entire career

- did NOT play well in preseason in 2008 (0 TDs, 3 INTs) or 2007 (1 TD, 4 INTs)

So, he's even more of an enigma than O'Sullivan was.

JTO--completes passes 20 yards down the field with decent regularity. hold ball too long to do so, so takes way too many sacks/hits. breath on him and he fumbles. has a rattay-like tendency to melt in the redzone, specifically in the 4th quarter. terrible body language.

Hill--holds the ball 1/2 as long as JTO, resulting in a buncha 5 yard receptions. great for Gore ppr owners, not so hot for Bruce/Johnson/Morgan owners. mediocrity defined.

:lmao:

Niners punted down by 3 scores, then called 3 timeouts on Seahawk downs to get the ball back so that QB Hill got some 2-minute offense work in. Interesting sign to me.

Also, O'Sullivan has 8 TDs and 17 turnovers on the year. Easy to see why he was replaced.

Sign of a stupid coach?
Why is getting your new starting QB some game snaps a sign of a stupid coach? Seems pretty smart to me. Good time to see how the guy handles the 2 minute drill as it's a completely different set of plays. Does he know the playbook? This is a good chance to tell.

Wouldn't the new QB have received more game snaps if they'd gone for it on 4th down?

Just a defense playing 15 yards back anticipating a pass. And then an opposing offense sitting on their doorstep to score.
