Juju for Alex Smith (1 Viewer)

1/2 PPR redraft league.  Record is 8-1.  Lost Watson and OBJ.  We start 1QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex.

QBs are Carr and Bortles.

WRs are Diggs, Tate, Jeffery, Juju, Corey Davis, John Brown

Should I trade Juju for Alex Smith?  I worry about Smith coming back to earth and not being much of an upgrade over Carr the rest of the way.

Unless he is really hurting at WR I doubt anyone would trade Smith for JuJu. If you can swing it I'd do it, then you can drop Bortles for some waiver wire guy.

Thanks for the input.  The trade offer was the other owner's idea.  He needs a big scoring week to stay in playoff contention and has some WRs on byes.

No one worries that Alex Smith has tailed off some?  Carr does have 300 yards three games in a row.

Alex faced the steelers, broncos in the last 4 weeks. Did not do well against Dallas surprisingly, but i see him rebounding after his bye week. outside of the chargers he doesnt face a tough passing matchup for the rest of the year.

I agree its not much of an upgrade over carr, and the point difference might not be significant in the end. If you are playoff bound and looking for that extra little cushion each week, being able to play carr or smith to better matchups gives a nice advantage over juju's weekly uncertainty.

If this guy is willing to deal, not sure what your rb or te core looks like but try another option is to add depth at those positions.

I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather have JuJu. I'm very concerned about Smith going forward, and believe he might not be better than Carr at all. I'd either want to trade for a different QB, or trade a different WR.

All that said, are there no QBs on waivers better than Bortles? Even a guy like Fitzpatrick seems like a better option in my opinion.
