On the ticket this morning Jones said he expects Jones to practice this week. His status for the game will be determined by how he practices this week.Probably of larger concern is the loss of Flozell for the year. Tucker is a horrible replacement and will seriously limit inside running the rest of the year.have good sports

I also heard the Jerry Jones segment on the Ticket. Besides suffering through Jones' guttural 'uhhmmm"s all the way, I don't know that I would trust anything he says on talk radio. (I'd put as much stock in Gordo's opinion, honestly!)baby arm...

Thompson's mental woes

After spending most of last week running with the first-team offense, former Irving High School star Tyson Thompson spent most of the Giants game watching from the sideline.

Thompson carried three times for 13 yards, while Anthony Thomas and rookie Marion Barber made most of the carries in place of the injured Julius Jones.

Parcells said the Cowboys simply couldn't trust Thompson following a mistake-filled practice Saturday.

"On Saturday, out of 12 plays he made three mental errors," Parcells said. "Anthony Thomas didn't have any mental errors in the game. Neither did Barber."

Thomas had 21 carries for 47 yards, and Barber carried 11 times for 30 yards.

Parcells said he is still looking for more production from the running game -- with or without Jones, who is questionable for Sunday's game at Seattle.

Parcells said Thomas, who started for Chicago, might be finally accepting his backup role after some early-season frustration about playing time.

Parcells said Barber started slowly after being injured in training camp but is improving.
Judas priest... give the kid a break. Let him get the mistakes out of the way in practice so that he can go out and play ball. He carried the rock 20 times the week before. If Parcells had questions about him, you'd think that that would have cleared it up. Go figure.

KFFL Oct 19 Dallas Cowboys RB Julius Jones (ankle) did some work during practice Wednesday, Oct. 19, and is hopeful of returning to the field during Week 7. He is listed as questionable on the team's injury report. STATS Inc. Sportsline.Com RB Julius Jones (ankle) remains questionable for the Seahawks game, although he did rehab in pads Tuesday for the first time in a week. (Updated 10/20/2005). Jones is a risky start at this point. Track his progress in practice Thursday and Friday before making a roster decision on him. Bill Parcells traditionally doesn't play players who don't practice -- although there's a chance an exception could be made on a top guy like Jones on the road against a tough conference opponent in Seattle. Oct. 19 The Cowboys expect Julius Jones to play this weekend against Seattle after he missed Sunday's game against the Giants with a sprained ankle, according to the Dallas Morning News.
