Julius Peppers (1 Viewer)

Seems to be close to a few big plays, just hasn't delivered. That's the curse of big play guys vs. tackle guys

playing like an absolute turd
PS surely you don't really mean this part...he's playing great- tackles and sacks are only fantasy relevant. He's caused at least 4 offsides, blocked a kick, and drawn a holding penalty.
He's been killing me all year, but he did get screwed out of a sure sack after tripping up roger's behind the line,as he's falling to the turf he skim's the ball away about 2 inches above the ground.I'm not sure what was the bigger %$#@ing that or Barnett (solo tackle) getting beaned for a pick thanks to a late hit.

Anyone who has ever owned Peppers in Fantasy knows that this is the deal with the devil you make when you grab him.

He will single-handedly win you one or two games a year and put up a rediculous 20-30 point stat line. Then he will spend the next month with numbers that look like tremor readings...1.5......3.0.....2.5......4.5......

You just have to live with it or cut bait.

Overall it seems like the Bears are good to have for fantasy purposes.

Urlacher got beat on the 1st TD pass, on the Rogers TD run, didn't do anything when he rushed the passer, and missed 4-5 tackles but because the D couldn't get off the field or stop the short pass he was able to put up good numbers.

Peppers is really playing great though and eventually it will show up in the box score.

:thumbup:Unless you have a very solid team backing him or a simply elite guy opposite him (once upon a time I had a Suggs-Peppers DE combo - that was fun) it's good to try to get a more steady producer opposite him to "guarantee" some DE points for yourself. A lot of this volatility is simply part of the DE position though, but Peppers seems like a more extreme example.
