Justice League (1 Viewer)

The more I think about it, it does feel like a different version of Superman in JLA. Seemed to a be a lighter/more hopeful version that lines up with the character better.

I really hope they don't go that route, I'd much prefer to see Darkseid in the next movie if it gets made.
Hawks, I just think the Loki-Ultron-Steppenwolf story lines are too much the same.  The heavy hitters go up against the main guys while Cap, Hawkeye, Widow, Batman, go up against the residual armies.  JL vs IL could be awesome - the only concern would be that might be too much content to show 4-6 major battles.

Because Flash goes and f's around with time and parallel dimensions. Historically DC has always gone about retconning bad storylines/character changes by a big all encompassing crossover, there were multiple different Crisis series (Crisis on Mulitple Earths, Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis), The New 52 and Flashpoint. All were part of changing timelines, charcaters, etc.

If they are moving forward with Flashpoint then there are plans to do something with the timelines and/or the characters.
Sounds exhausting to follow.

big fan of these movies....historically loved Marvel (GOG fave all time) and just liked DC (fave being Nolan Batman)....went with a dozen 10 yr olds for my son;s birthday so interesting to get 2 perspectives -

my take -

it wasnt bad - it was a decent popcorn movie - I'd give it a C+ ....bummed because of what the potential was -

Liked:

Wonder Woman/Flash/Aquaman/Cyborg - good performances and you can tell the reshoots brought a little Marvelesque humor to the characters - unfortunately almost all of the good stuff was in the trailers.

Did Not Like

Batman and Superman - I'm a big batrman fan and Affleck's (who I'm a big fan) version is old, stiff and just boring...not the guy to lead anything and I was bored when the focus was on him.  Superman - similar - I loved old school Christopher Reeve and Smallville....just not a fan of the performance or how they portray him

Villain - terrible....seemed like a Loki type rip off and the boxes rip off infinity stones....complete CGI mess and his CGI minions were even worse.  Like a bunch of redshirts with no purpose but to get picked off easily.

Story - pace was really slow and boring....I get the need to get the heroes together but just liked the way they did it in Avengers more.  When it got to the fight scenes it picked up.

As for the 10 yr olds....they said they loved it...their favorite was Cyborg going in but every kid loved Flash as their fave going out....and while they say they loved it for what its worth  I noticed quite a few stretches where they were board and started chatting/not paying any attention until the action drew them back in.

Anyway - I dont agree with cosmic bomb reviews but definitely a lost opportunity - I'd like to see them give it one more shot without Snyder but I have a feeling Affleck is done and they will blow it up....IMO just replace Batman and focus on what works - WW, Flash, Aquaman and to lesser extent Cyborg could be a nice base for future.

Just saw it. Enjoyed it well enough. Not on the pantheon of some of the excellent marvel movies, but glad we went to see it.

Luther/Deathstroke would be a cool way to do the next one. No more colossal aliens please.

Was with some family during Thanksgiving week and they wanted to go to the movies so we compromised and landed on Justice League. Kept expectations very low but was surprised, it was better than I expected despite the bad reviews. Better than MoS and BvS, but not anywhere close to WW quality though. Whedon coming in at the 11th hour definitely helped this one, but there's still something missing that I can't put my finger on compared to the Marvel films. This one was a small step above a mindless summer blockbuster so hopefully a step in the right direction for DC.

loved the fight with resurrected Supes and the look on the Flash's face during that scene. Cyborg was very meh, but integral to a terrible plot. Poorly done villian. Poor amazons getting their butts kicked in every movie. Aquamans awful colored contacts were a pretty jarring but perfect example from a film spending millions on cgi and other special effects with mixed results. Amazon isle, atlantis, the batman wall crawler all good effects, the rest terrible, especially the final battle and Steppenwolf.

Just saw it. I thought it was pretty good. Villain was dumb but most of them are. They could've did the villain without cgi. Good super hero movie.

At Rotten tomatoes the rating with the critics is 41%, while the fans rate it at 82%.
Critics usually pan some superhero movies and action/comedies. If you like action
movies, go see it.

It was a C movie at best.  Mildly entertaining but that's as good as I can give it.

The villain, Steppenwolf was awful.  I can't put my finger who he reminds me of but its from some commercial.  Anyway he was not compelling at all.  I don't  like the Wonder Woman villains much overall from what I've seen so far.

Aquaman has potential, he was a decent character.  Could have used a little more water in this movie to fully flesh this one out.

Flash was stupid, if you like that kind of corny, weak super hero than good for you but I did not.

Wonder Woman is hot but a little too serious.  She needs to lighten up a bit.

Not sure if it belongs here, but the DC crossover "Crisis on Earth X" was lots of fun.

Hope they can do it again sometime soon

Are you implying that Steppenwolf is a Wonder Woman villain? I've not seen the movie, but in the comics he's Darkseid's uncle, which I would think would make him more of a Superman villain.

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, a C+/B- for me. Wonder Woman again steals/saves the movie.  Didn't care for this take on the Flash at all. Don't really know much about Cyborg but thought he was well done.

The cgi and special effects seem to be a few notches below Marvel's, a lot of the fight scenes it's like you are watching a video game.
