Justin Fargas (1 Viewer)

Ive liked what Ive seen from fargas, he runs in a similar fashion to how a hungry fat person eats. He gets fierce back there and normally explodes for a few nice gains. He is playing against a tough SD team, but if he gets 20+ carries I can see 100 yards and a possible score. I also like his chances to catch a pass or two and maybe run with that. I have Corey Dillon sitting this week, playing against a very stingy Chicago D.

Im starting Fargas bro, hes going to get the ball, and hes playing in SD so its going to be a game where the raiders are going to try to establish the run. The Patriots are playing a Chicago Defense that I believe has only given up one rushing TD this year. Corey Dillon is most valuable because he gets the goalline carries, but i do not see him scoring this week. With Moroney stealing a good amount of carries, Id go with the sure thing and play fargas. Hes going to get the ball.

It's hard for me to get excited about Fargas. I had Lamont on my bench for most of the season waiting for him to come alive. He never did. I believe he is a much more talented and complete back when compared to Fargas. So, I can't imagine how Fargas can get plugged into the starting rotation and suddenly become a viable fantasy option. I did manage to get Fargas on the ww this week, but am not confident that he is worth a start unless you have very limited options. I would play Dillon over Fargas...but that is me, and I am admittedly bitter about the Raider performance this year.

Is this another case of " the better player has been on the bench or hurt the last couple years, but nows his chance?" NOOOOOO! its not, its the case of a back-up getting the job due to an injurie to the better player.

This team SUCKS. REALLY SUCKS! Moss sucks,Jordan sucks,Walters sucks, Brooks sucks,Porter sucked in street clothes and sucks again on the field. Indivudually on other teams they may be productive fantasy players, but this is a fantasy discussion and when these 5 or 6 are together behind that O-Line, they SUCKOLA!

Whew! being 4-7 and having drafted Moss and Brooks I feel so much better now.

Unlike Jordan, Fargas probably has some good incentive to perform despite being on a bad team since this is his FA year. Just the fact that it isn't RBBC leads towards Fargas getting the ball 15-18 times. Maybe 70 yards. So I could see his numbers being better than Jordan's, despite him not being as good.

Fargas will stay on my bench for now, but I could see using him down the road.

In any case, this can only be better than dealing with holding Lamont as my #4 RB.

Week 13: Houston

Week 14: Cincy

Week 15: STL

Week 16: KC

That is why he will be more valuable than Jordan ever was. Oakland had an unbelievable hard rushing schedule this year so far:

SD, Bal, Den, Pit, Sea, Den with only decent matchups vs. Cleveland, SF and Arizona

Not that you would bench anyone decent for Fargas, but I guarantee he averages more fantasy points per game here on out than Jordan did.

IIRC, the Bears are giving up over 100yds a game rushing since their safety went down.

Am I the only one SHOCKED LaMont would be benched? EDIT - Thank god he wasnt benched. The title of the post was little misleading. Fargas is not a safe start for your playoff run regardless.

This guy has one bad season becasue of the leagues worst O-line and horrible QB play, playing against stacked lines and all the sudden his name is MUD ?!

I am absolutly licking my chops for the off-season when LaMont will be able to be had WAY under value in dynasty formats.

Crazy.......

PS I wouldnt be one bit shocked if Fargas gets hurt in his first start.

I am actually suprised he already hasnt. For anyone to think Fargas has more skills than LaMont or is even a better fit than LaMont...., its just pure blasphemy. I dont even own Lamont in any of my 7 leagues but damn, hes got skills.

This situation acutally reminds me of Caddy this year. Guy has a horrible supporting cast and all the sudden hes a bust to some. Yet another off-season STEAL in dynasty formats.

Get both of these guys this off-season, I sware they will out perform ADP at a minimum next season, I bet my Sig , my grandmaws false teeth and 1 penis pump on it !!!
