Justin Tuck going forward (1 Viewer)

5-ish Finkle

So, I'm pondering something and figured I'd bring it here(didn't see any other threads addressing this lately):

Tuck's great in just about any format, and we all know this. He started out the year like his a@$# was on FIRE, particularly in the tackle department. Over the last three weeks though......he's been average at best(and that may be a bit kind).

Last week vs. Seattle, I'm sure it was just a 'reps' gimmick. Seattle just didn't possess the ball very much, but vs. the Lions and Dallas the two games prior he just didn't seem to be around the ball as much as normal.

So, my reason for dropping this here would be this: Has Jene, or anyone else that's a close follower of the Giants, noticed any sort of reason for the dropoff that should be worrisome?(i.e. is the dude playing hurt or something). Had an offer floated to me in one of my leagues yesterday with Tuck as the primary player coming back my way. Wondering if his owner is just panicking over the slowish three games, or if he knows something I don't(though I can't find anything stating he's even been remotely banged up at any point this season anywhere).

Thoughts? Anyone?....Anyone? Bueller? Thanks in advance.

I haven't noticed anything with Tuck. I think the tackle numbers are almost certainly opportunity based. The Giants have seen the fewest opportunity in the league and their last two games have been extremely low.

There have been some lingering injury issues this year, as there always seem to be with Tuck, but his snap count isn't down. I think the upcoming schedule looks pretty favorable for him and wouldn't be worried if he was my DL1. I think it's more likely that we'll see a rebound than a continued downward trend.

Thanks for the input, Doc. Most appreciated. I guess the snap count thing was what I was most concerned about. Was wondering if they had gone to a crazy, Tennessee-level rotation or something. Glad to hear that isn't the case. I'll have some mulling to do now.

Osi x 2 < Tuck = Tuck getting Double teamed

In other words, you can put any above average DE on the other side and they do well, look at that player OSI replaced while he was on the bench.
