Just about every news outlet is saying that he is healthy and will play. The bye week should have really helped him.

I'm in the same boat. Problem is, my other kicker is Robbie Gould. I'm stuck carring two K all season since no one will trade for one and I'll be damned if I throw one of them on the WW.

He's on my WW. I'm thinking of dropping Akers for Vinatieri, as Vinatieri has already had his bye week. I'm slightly afraid that his groin won't be 100% all year and he'll won't be a good fantasy play all season.

With limited roster space (12 roster sports, start 8) we don't have room to carry 2 kickers, so I dropped Kasay for V this week based on reports that he's good to go. I was going to have to drop Kasay for the week 9 bye anyway, so I figured I'd make the move early and take a chance on Vinatieri from the WW.

MFL is still listing him as questionable though.

I believe that the Colts have 21 players on the injury report this week, all listed as Questionable. Looks like Dungy's playing games.

Vinatieri optimistic

Place-kicker Adam Vinatieri flashed a thumbs-up Friday when asked if he's ready to return to the lineup. He has missed the past three games with a strained groin.

"I kicked (Friday) and I feel real good," he said. "It just depends on how I feel (today) when I wake up. But I feel awesome. I'm 99 percent sure I'll kick (Sunday)."

When playing this game of FF every point counts. Where do you rank A. Vinatieri moving forward? Top 10? Yes. Top 5? Yes. Top 2? Gould #1, who's #2, 3, 4, 5?
