With all the talent this guy showed before 2 years of rehab, is there any chance he will make it to the season this year? And does anyone think he will have any impact?

 ( :bag: - dynasty league owner)

Another year of draining Brownie salary, another year of non-production.

My guess is he'll get injured in training camp. Probably a golf cart accident...

I predict by June he will have done something stupid to re-injure himself.

My early bet (in order): 1) bungy-jumping 2) snowboarding 3) chainsaw 4) pickup-basketball game 5) falling down the stairs at his house *for no apparent reason*

latest info i have is that he regained all the weight he lost when he had the staph infection. He should be one of the top 2 or 3 targets in the cleveland passing offense as long as he can play.

It's impossible for anyone to say with any confidence whether or not he'll be able to perform at the same level he once was able to, or whether his ceiling remains as high. What I can say is that in the limited action I saw of him playing, he was just about uncoverable. I had a torrent of the 2004 game against Dallas (?), and while Garcia never so much as looked in his direction, the camera was isolated on him and he was wide open every play. I mean every play. No idea why Garcia had him on his ignore list, but he certainly could have passed to him all day had he been so inclined. If Winslow Jr. does come back healthy, I'm more bullish on him than most people. He made one idiotic mistake. That's a better record than I had when I was 21. The broken fibula suffered during an onside kick was just plain bad luck. Everything I've heard to this point is that he's been working hard in rehab and is very focused on making an impact this coming season. I assume he'll be out to prove his doubters wrong. But of course, there are no guaranties, and he could easily turn into just another first round draft pick bust. Anyway, here's whatCrennel says.

i agree with this analysis.the only problem is, his injuries were fairly severe, so if he does ever fully recover, i think it will take a while.

if i had to guess, i would say he won't be 100% until the '07 season. (assuming he ever will be 100%, or at least close to it.)

Everything is speculation until Winslow plays in some preseason games. Granted, the Browns may ease him into game situations, but his burst, agility, and other pass catching skills should at least be displayed when he's on the field. Regardless of how he looks in the preseason, he will still be a high risk player until he actually goes out and plays an entire season with decent production and, most importantly, without injury.

Here's a recap of where I've stood.

say everyone on sportsforum.ws makes $10. Someone from kiddiesportsforum.ws is joining this forum and he's suppost to be a really great poster, but we've never seen him post on these forums about big boy chat. We offer him $20, and he says "you're ####### stupid no way."

I would shoot him in the forehead.

for that reason I bet he breaks his leg and retires by week 2.

Kellen Winslow - Bust Report

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A source close to the Browns organization confirms that the leg-fracture Kellen Winslow, Jr. suffered in week 2 of the 2004 season (called it) is in fact much more serious than originally expected. The fracture was so close to the ankle that unrepairable tendon damage is highly likely. What this in term means is that Winslow has played his last professional football game (called that too).

For any of you sniffing the trail back to last year, Winslow stated early last season that there was no guarantee he'd be ready to go by the 2005 season. So someone must have told him the news a while ago, and now it is starting to leak out. Apparently the player who rejected a rookie contract to make him the most wealthy tight end in NFL history will be retiring with five career catches.

Winslow has had multiple operations on his ankle and lower leg since suffering the injnury.

Somebody get this man a TO Tank. And where's that outspoken miami canes fan from new york when you need him?
http://sportsforum.ws/showthread.php?t=154...=kellen+winslowAnd now today.

There are two important things to look at here: 1) the physical. Is he going to return to his former physical self? 2) the mental. he looks to be finally maturing, and these injuries have served as an eye-opener and life-changer for him.

2 looks like it's in the bag to me.

1 looks like the real problem. Will he ever fully recover from that injury?

I believe he will play again. I don't believe he'll be dominant if this injury really is hindering him.

But presuming he has made a full recovery for the 2006 season, I expect him IN the Pro Bowl with Antonio Gates (Sorry Tony).

Based on what? His last name? That's quite a stretch for an injury riddled player with 50 yards receiving and no TD's for his NFL career.
