Kansas City at Houston (1 Viewer)

Tearing my calf felt like I'd been stabbed in the leg. Can't imagine what that achilles rupture felt like.
It sucked.  Felt like getting kicked really hard.  That’s what I thought happened at first.  It happened in April for me playing basketball.  Still on the mend. Terrible injury.

He threw it directly to Hopkins.
I mean he's impressed me, but not by throwing into double coverage, getting bailed out by a superhero catch and racking up garbage time points.

This is truly Bortles esque though. I mean this is beyond ridiculous how he doesn't have a pick yet.

I agree - while there’s no taking away that beautiful fade to the corner he just tossed, the hall Mary throws are bound to regress. The Ints are coming.

I mean these catches are just  :lmao:

Worst 5 TD game in NFL history?
On what planet? He moved the ball and consistently escaped pressure. A few rookie bad throws but he did everything and created played a la Russell Wilson/etc.

No one is saying he's the second coming, but he didn't have a "garbage game".

Kelce in good spirits as walks out of locker room, on phone and greeting chiefs family members.
This doesn't mean he's going to play next week but it's good news.

I'm genuinely kind of curious. There cannot possibly be many more hollow, unimpressive 5 TD games in history. It's not to say he played bad, but for example Smith was far better than Watson and doesn't have that comical stat line. Usually 5 TD passes equals playing amazing in a win, not heaving and praying in garbage time.

It was a lot of Hail Mary garbage time for sure.

so to the original comment, I’ve gotta agree that his star line is crazy inflated.

but it’s also true that he played lights out football. The kid is a straight baller - great instincts, big arm, spidey sense in the pocket, makes multiple reads, showed awesome touch on many passes including that last corner fade)

both things are true. He’s a stud QB, and this game was a lot of garbage points. heh

On the pass to the TE to the 1....a KC lineman was getting held so bad he didn't even go after Watson anymore and just started yelling at the ref.....

We talked about KC not trying to put their players in harms way...at what point when you aren't going to win do you do the same with your franchise QB....?

I just backed it up and watched that again because it seemed super fishy - you're spot on. I was coming here to post the same.

He got rolled up on pretty good on that last TD play.

That said, rookies need reps. If it makes him better to win more games in the future it’s orobably worth the risk.

I'll admit my kneejerk was that Watson should be sat. I do think it was the right call to let him fight through adversity. It could really boost team morale with the tough loss of Watt.

I think the refs give up almost as much as the defensive players in these garbage time situations. The kinda funny thing is, sometimes the WRs look as if they're playing harder than when the game actually mattered. Gotta get those stats!
