Anderson might be a good candidate to sell high, especially if he goes over 100 yards tonight.
Right, because all he's done by rushing 20 times, (4 times as many carries as any of his teammates) is prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's THE MAN in Denver...and we all know how much the man in Denver is worth. Getting rid of him is a great move here.
The o-line appears to be alot worse than in previous years.
Why is it that all of a sudden KC's O-line appears a lot worse? Did it appear alot worse when KC was averaging 160 yards rushing a game over the first two? Maybe Denver's D-line is just a lot better.
This is nothing new. He has the RB he trusts in there to run out the clock, even if they are up 70 points.
That's absolutely it. Mike Anderson is a proven commodity.
2 things are very, very clear to me.
1) Priest is still the #1 RB, and still has skills
2) The entire offense will come around when the O-Line is healthy and gelled.
Emphasis on #2. The line is only forging holes every 3rd play, and is especially bad right now in pass protection. In years past, Green had ALL DAY to pass. Not know. Get Roaf back, get in synch, and this offense will roll again..
Again, why is it an offensive line problem? Denver got 4 sacks in the second half against San Diego last week, and they brought a ton of pressure and blitzes on KC this week. Pryce played like a stud, and Shanahan looks like a genius for signing those Browns castoffs.
I targeted him in every one of my drafts but he always went early before my pick. Now, I'm not so sad about it.
Even though it is week 3, someone should bump the threads on the VBD numbers saying to draft Gonzo in the early third round.
Right, and someone else should pull up his numbers through three weeks in '03. Oh wait, here they are. 7 receptions, 78 yards, 0 TDs. How'd he wind up doing last season again? 71 for 916 and 10 TDs? What about last year through 2 weeks? 6 receptions, 80 yards, 0 TDs? And he finished with 102 receptions for 1258 and 7 TDs? Hmmm... perhaps it's too early to start burying him.
I don't know how the Denver RB situation will shake out this year, but Tatum Bell has a WORLD of potential in that offense & will have an excellent chance to be the feature back in '06, IMO. Take note, dynasty-leaguers.
Why? Because he's fast? Do the words "Michael Bennett" mean anything to you?
