Keeper Question (1 Viewer)

12 team PPR keeper league. Auction with $200 budget. Keep players for max of 5 years. Salary increase $5 each year. 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 2FLEX, TE. For purposes of this conversation, I can only pick one of the following:

Zay Flowers: $1
George Pickens: $10
Tank Dell: $5

How would y'all rank them and who would you pick? I could "probably" trade Pickens to the Steelers homer in my league but not certain.

If you only get to keep one guy, I just pick the best guy. To me that is Pickens. He is my choice.

They're all pretty close IMO, but for $1 I'd keep Flowers. Quite a bargain compared to the others, and as you say, if you could trade Pickens, it's an extra bonus.
Agree. He's also probably a bigger component of the Ravens passing game than Dell is in Houston, particularly now they have Diggs.

Pickens is easily the 3rd best of those 3. And it's not close, imo.
Maybe but he is the #1 option and has shown he can be a difference maker. Dell is in a more crowded room and Flowers is #2 behind Andrews. When factoring that in I like PIckens talent coupled with his situation much better than the other two guys..........and I really like the other two guys as well.

I’d probably prefer Zay over all these guys personally, so considering he’s the cheapest here that would be pretty easy for me.

I'll be the contrarian and choose Dell. Even with Diggs in town I think Tank improves on last years production. I'd put Flowers next and Pickens last. With Henry now the lead horse in the stable Baltimore will continue to be a run first, second and last team, and I only see Flowers as their WR2 anyway. Lastly, I don't trust whomever wins the starting QB gig in Pittsburgh to elevate Pickens game at all this year. Maybe next year when they draft a QB?

This commentary is posted without the knowledge of the total number of keepers permitted, if there is a limit, nor without knowledge of additional funds earmarked for said unmentioned additional keepers and who those additional keepers might be. I'm going with the assumption that none of these WR's will be your WR1 or WR2 on your rooster. Still, I doubt my viewpoint would change much, if at all, if I knew that info.

This is an interesting take. CJ Stroud picked his perfect NFL offense on a podcast and his three WRs were Adams, Chase, and Dell. Not Nico. I think this passing game could really take off in a way that BAL and PIT won't. I wouldn't be surprised if Stroud threw for 5000 yards and Dell took off if he stays healthy.

Pickens is an alpha WR who I think will get 100-110 targets, will be alpha WR on the team and the clear passing option. But PIT will run more than anyone this year and I can see some 3-60-0 games, especially in the first half of the season that could frustrate.

Flowers is sexy but will likely be the second passing option on a run first team. Henry has talked about getting 300 touches this season. His signing is a signal they want to run more.

I can trade players and money for keepers.

Current keepers: Breece Hall, Lamb, Nuka, Waddle, LaPorta. If I could trade Pickens to the Steelers homer for two of his keepers, I would keep Flowers and Dell.
