NFL | K. Rivers works out at Pro Day

Wed, 2 Apr 2008 13:26:23 -0700

SIRIUS NFL Radio Movin' the Chains reports University of Southern California LB Keith Rivers worked out at his school's Pro Day Wednesday, April 2. Rivers had a 42-inch vertical jump and a 4.51 40-yard dash.

Did he use that little mini-tramp Leinart used to post a 38" vertical? :fishing:

Good for Rivers. He should be the first LB taken. He needs to eat raw meat though. I read that's how you make dogs mean.

For some reason, I hear a voice in my ear saying ... Chris Claiborne.
...or Junior Seau. It should be noted that Rivers was assigned #55 by the USC coaching staff. The #55 is normally reserved for the #1 bad *** of the D. The number is not assigned every year...it's only assigned when a player is worthy.

In the past Seau, McGinest and Claiborne wore the number...

...and they were Top-10 picks.

Yep  I have no good reason why, just a gut feeling. Of course thats not to say he won't be a good player, just not live up to his full potential.

I know what you're saying. This year's draft does not have that neon-blue, blue-chip LB. Last year...Patrick Willis was that player. The year before...it was AJ Hawk.Jarod Mayo seems to be rising the charts. Mel Kiper has him higher than Rivers. I've also seen a mock (...or two) with Mayo going to the Lions in the mid-1st. Mayo ran a Rivers-like 4.5/40 at the combine.

Speaking of such...Mayo at #15 (DET), Rivers at #24 (TEN):

Did Vickl say that?
Actually, it's something my mom says. BUT! In her defense she's against feeding raw meat to dogs because it makes them mean. :lmao:
