Kenny Britt will be the number 1 fantasy WR this year (1 Viewer)

Before the season I predicted a top 5 finish for Britt, but after these first two games I'm convinced he will be 1. No idea how he fell to 31(?) in the draft. Besides some character concerns he has the total package. Complete stud.

Not with Hasselback throwing to him all year long. CJ is about to break out and J. Cook is not too far behind as well. Top 15 WR but not #1

I don't know if the reality matches my perceptions, but I feel like in order to be the #1 overall WR, you have to be either...

...THE major offensive weapon on an otherwise blah offense...

...or the primary target in a REALLY high-powered one.

Britt is neither, which leads me to believe his numbers are going to come to earth sooner rather than later. He's still a talent, and Hass clearly likes him, but I wouldn't bet the bank on it continuing like this. Classic sell-high candidate IMO. (If, and only if you can get a good price for him, of course. I still think borderline top 10 is possible.)

Seeyah in 4.5 months lmfao Kenny Britt.

I suggest you read the Spotlight for Kenny Britt if you want to know who really made the call in this forum.

Here's a hint, his name rhymes with LHUCKS.

:coffee:

I swear it's like amateur hour around here sometimes.

Why LHUCKS is not a FBG staffer I will never understand. His friendly, humble demeanor is second to none the entire planet. In order to stay on point, I think Tenn's coaches understand that the key to winning will be the balance that getting CJ more involved will bring. Defenses will balance out @ some juncture. Defenses do not fear the aerial attack of the Titans. I have Britt and love the early season break out, though.

Any more details on possible suspensions?

I don't know if he'll be #1, but I don't see how you can sell high. What has he done in the last 12 games played to make you think this is a mirage? I mean damn, the guy has gotten fewer than 120 yards or a TD only two times in that span: Sept 19, 2010 vs. Pitt, and December 9, 2010 vs. Indiana, both times his first game back. The only other WR I'd rather have is Calvin Johnson.

I own him in every league, and I know for a fact there is no way I'd get his value in trade.

Gotta love the hype that a flukey 80 yard shuffle pass can produce. I know he had a good game after that, but everyone is just reading the stat lines from week 1 now. How quickly we forget (and by "we" I am not including myself). Britt may be a talent but that is not an offense I want to be part of my fantasy team. The Hass will have plenty of 180 1/2 games in which Britt underperforms. This is typical overreaction to inflated stats and a recent big game. Sell high.

If LHUCKS ever became a staffer I'd cancel my subscription. His schtick on this board is hard enough to handle. The only thing worse than arrogance is when it is combined with ineptitude.

You must have missed the hamstring news before creating this thread. Starting to look eerily similar to last season. Great-hamstring-great-hamstring.

Even if you wanted to take that play away (I'm sure you were saying the same thing about Nicks' immaculate reception in his rookie year), he ended up with 4-55-1 in Week 1. In fact, looking at his last several games played while relatively healthy, he's:9/135/1

5/136/2

5/85/1

4/89/1

6/128/0

4/39/0

7/225/3

2/33/1

4/86/1

3/23/1

2/26/1

5/41/0

That's 57/1046/12 over a 12 game period which is pretty insane. Extended to a full year, that's 76/1394/16 which would make him the #1 WR last year, by far.

Now, the chances he can play all 16 games seems pretty remote, but damn, other than Calvin is there a WR you'd rather have in your lineup on the days he's healthy? And because he fell to like the 6th round, no one had to burn a 1-2 round pick on him.

This is almost as prophetic as your Kolb-to-Arizona call...in June

Hows your Randy Moss call working out for you?I'll hang up and listen. Actually I won't

there was absolutely no risk there...the part that you are obviously missing.

Who said anything about risk? You made a call and called out staff for not being as "smart" as you. Don;t think he's going to quite live up to your ranking. http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=592998&view=findpost&p=13186335

I hope you're right, he was my main mid round target and got him in all my leagues. I think he'll cool off a bit but he should be top 10 if he can stay healthy.

Funny how short some memories are. This is the guy who was facing a very possible suspension, to which his response was that he would retire if he were suspended. Also funny to jump on the bandwagon after he's already put up #1 WR numbers for the last two weeks.

A ranking is much different than a prediction. Britt is a risky pick, which is why me and everyone else didnt rank him in the top 10. I'l find you guys the link when I get off the mobile site. I think I said it a few times, but I know one of them was in the bold predictions thread.

Statistics don't lie, and those stats above for the last 12 games he played are pretty impressive, unless you're R. Moss or TO in their prime.

If teams continue to stack the box to stop Chris Johnson, then Britt will produce monster fantasy points this season.

Hasselbeck can still play as he showed in the last year's playoffs and in the first 2 games this season. He is much better than the Kerry Collins or Vince Young of the past.

Hasselbeck and Britt are still developing chemistry. Things will only get better from this point forward.

Again, assuming teams sell out to stop CJ.

Kenny Britt is this year's Hakeem Nicks. Monster point per game stats, but he'll miss 1-2 games and not finish #1 because of it

Didn't everyone expect Britt to break out this year? It's not like no one remembers he:

-Had 7 catches / 225 yards / 3TD in one game last year.

-Was a 1st-Round Draft Pick.

The chest-thumping in this thread is ridiculous. It's not like you guys predicted:

Steve Johnson's breakout 2010 breakout:

Arian Foster's 2010 breakout:

Now then, who wants some FF advice?

The Hass has enjoyed some of the best pass protection in the entire league. As long as he's healthy, there will not be any 180 passing yard games. Nothing about this is a mirage.

There was a lot of risk around Britt. No one wanted him. I was unaware of the risk when I drafted him at pick 6.14 in a 16 team league. If I was aware of the risk I prolly wouldn't have taken him.

Where did you guys draft Britt? He fell to me in the 11th round in one of my 10 team dynasties. Partially b/c it was 2 QB league and a couple owners had some really bad drafts.

We drafted while Britt was waiting in Goodell's decision on suspension so that's another possibility. But the main reason was because MFL had him ranked so low in their default ADP while we were drafting. It was our first time using MFL and we realized MFL's ADP is a bit off b/c of rookie drafts so it threw everyone off, I would have drafted him a few rounds earlier if I knew he was available. Good thing I didn't.
