Kenny Britt, WR, Tennessee Titans (1 Viewer)

I know Titans brass said earlier in the week that they would keep Britt on a low snap count in his first game back in Week 2, but with the injury to Nate Washington do you think the Titans will be forced to give Britt a full compliment of snaps?

what happened to Nate?

Nate only had a leg contusion? I swear he was knocked out on that play. His body did the stiff arm thing and he just dropped the ball after he got hit. I thought for sure concussion at least.

Looks like both Nate and Locker will be available for Week 2...

Titans coach Mike Munchak expects Nate Washington (leg) to play in Week 2 against San Diego.

what are expectations for Britt in Week 2? Is he worth a flex spot or is he at a wait and see point? SD was pretty run of the mill against WRs last year and handled Oakland pretty well last night. Can he produce while being on a pitch count?

And MJD...I'm looking for ways to get him in the line-up. If he sees full practice all week then even with 25 plays he could have a good game

As of now I have him starting ovr Nate Washington

Rather excited for him to hit the field... I think he's going to reward a lot of folks who snagged him "late".

As someone who just posted 2nd most points in my office league and lost to the points leader.. Im particularly ready for both Britt and Matthews to hit the field.

Given Britt's talent level I don't see much issue with "Rust". If he gets 7-8 targets I could see him dropping 100/1 pretty easily.

I've got Mathews in Britt in both of my leagues this year and luckily started off 1-0 in each without them. Both will be key though if I'm going to be in contention in the long run. I'm not expecting huge numbers from Britt out of the gate and I don't know if "rust" is what I'm worried about as I am about the soundness of that knee after 3 procedures. AD Peterson is an absolute freak of nature and I'm not so sure we can count on everybody else coming back like he has.I'm confident Britt will play well relatively soon but I'm also nervous and I'm giving it at least another week before I consider putting him in my lineups.

I have him in two leagues and won't be playing him. AP's miraculous recovery will have no bearing on how I treat Britt. They aren't remotely the same kind of players with the same dedication and injury history. If it's a choice between Britt and Greg Little I'd pop him in but I'll take the risk that he has a huge day on my bench and I'll get him in the lineup next week.

i read somewhere (sorry, can't find the link) that Britt is expected to play only 20-25 downs (~1/3 of offensive snaps) to ease him in. now, i know we heard that with ADP and MJD, but their situations are different: an injury to rashad jennings required MJD to play more, and ADP, well, he's just a freak...even if he's targetted 1/3 of those plays, that's only 7-8 targets which means anywhere from 3-6 receptions. i'm figuring more on the lower side (3-4) receptions which probably will result in a 4-60 kind of day.

i'm taking a wait and see approach and will bench Britt (FWIW: over guys like torrey smith, brandon lloyd, & antonio gates--non-TE mandatory league.

I got him at 7.7 in my PPR Redraft league. I have Colston, Dez Bryant, Torrey Smith, Blackmon, Amendola, and Randall Cobb as well. Britt was worth the risk considering the other WR I have on my roster.
Got him at 8.7 in the same. If he blows out a knee again, it's not a big loss. I think Britt offered one of the best values in the draft, along with Spiller and Hilis.

what happened to Nate?
He left the game with a leg contusion. Won't know if it's serious until early this week.
Interesting. Looked lke a concussion to me.

4-60 kind of day isn't terrible for my flex. If one of those is for a TD, then all is right with the world. Seriously though, I don't get the snap count thing. If his knees are good to go for 30% of the snaps, why are they not for the other 70%? Is it due to conditioning more than worry about his knee not holding up?

The more I think about this situation, the more i feel like I have to start him. I took him late as flex wildcard and he'll be starting in place of Benson/Moore. If most people took him as late as I did you probably aren't looking to start him over your wr1-2. His upside is too hard to bench..

benching him this week.. will start next week and beyond based on todays performance.. but expecting a limited role today

From FBG Jene Bramel's Second Opinion Blog

Kenny Britt will be limited to about 25-30 plays today. As I wrote Monday and Mike Munchak suggested mid-week, it’s very unlikely that we’ll see Britt take more snaps than that. His knees may be fit enough to play, but his conditioning remains a concern. With his history of muscle strains, the Titans will ease him back slowly. Though he’s likely not on a strict snap count, he’ll fit into certain down and distance situations only. Nate Washington did not practice this week and is likely more doubtful than questionable, whether his injury is a calf strain or concussion related. Fantasy recommendation: Washington is a potential WR3, but too risky to put in lineups and hope for good news with the late game inactives. Britt will be used in enough high leverage situations to hold boom-bust WR3 value. The ripple effects will be most positive for Kendall Wright, who’s an underrated WR3/flex play today, and Jared Cook.

So who are you starting him over this weekend?
I own Britt on 4 of my 5 fantasy teams. He's riding the bench in all of my leagues until Week 3 at least.League 1 (10-Team): Julio Jones, Jordy Nelson, FLEX = Doug MartinLeague 2 (10-Team): Calvin Johnson, Jordy Nelson, Antonio BrownLeague 3 (12-Team w/ Return Yardage): Vincent Jackson, Eric Decker, FLEX = Randall CobbLeague 4 (16-Team w/ Return Yardage): Steve Smith, Miles Austin, FLEX = Randall CobbOdds are decent Britt will crack the starting lineup in Leagues 3 & 4 next week with a strong performance this afternoon.

Im tempered on Britt this week. In shouldnt be expected that he studs-off this week, but a decent ~5/50/.5 prediction, like WR2/3 value

Feelings on Britt this weekend against the Steelers?

Didn't practice all last week but was able to give it a go in a blowout on Sunday.

I am not starting him until he looks healthy on the field.
The little I saw of this past game Britt did not look good at all. No burst off the line, didnt move that well. Really looked limited. Now he's got only 3 days rest for the Thurs night game. Add in that the Tenn offense as a whole looked PUTRID last week and it's not looking promising. If he plays I may still be forced to put him in my lineup due to my cluster#### of a roster but I'm not optimistic.

It's interesting that he gave it a go and wanted to play - he caught the last pass of the game - didn't look too bad to me.

How are the Steelers against the pass? No Troy this weekend as well.
