Aside from his long catch which he was basically wide open because of a lapse in coverage... he's not looking too impressive. He looks like a sheep that was fed to the wolves. The one screen pass he caught he almost went into a fetal position, didn't even try to put any kind of move or arm out to shake the defender, looked more worried about the hit. Collinsworth even pointed out he broke on a play.. it was very lazy, didn't finish his route. He looks almost as if he's in awe of the professional players. I think he might develop but I think the Titans are throwing him in waaaayyy to soon.

I'm buying.

Naturally when I post it.. the guy runs a great route and looks like an all-star. I'm not saying he's a bad player, or anything close.. Let me reword myself and say he seems to lack physicality when it's needed. I might be wrong... I'm not even hating.. I like the kid.

Calvin Johnson didn't have 85+ yards in a game until his 14th game in the NFL. Britt has that much in his first game and there's still almost a full quarter left to play!!!!!!

Tough crowd, but funny. Week 1 and everybody already has their six-shooters and lynchin' rope... it's going to be a good season.

That's it!! If Kenny Britt didn't look good in his first game ever, on the road, against the Steelers, he will never look good.

I'm dropping him in every league!

Worst thread ever.
Co-sign!BTW, I thought the Giants would grab Britt and plug him in Plax's spot. I thought he was NFL ready 2 years ago. He definitely has the body and the skills...

Looked ok to me.. 2nd youngest player in the league, national spotlight, at Pitt...

For your sake, I hope he has a short career...this thread will likely be bumped forever and ever..

well, considering he's going to be no. 3 and not a starter when nate washington is healthy, i'm not sure what the OP is so concerned about.

i know everyone expects someone to be the next eddie royal, but few WRs look good very early in their careers. i thought he looked pretty good. if madden was still in the booth, you might not even have had the same opinion. after collinsworth ripped him on the one route, you probably decided he didn't look good.

I'm quoting the quoter incase the quoter feels bad for the original poster. Nobody is going to be saved via edit...may these statements live on forever.

Already regretting the wasted rookie pick. Maybe I can trade him for Jamal Lewis while everyone's still high on this fluke performance.

( Kenny Britt  )

well he had 85 yards so that means he will have 1,360 yards for the year which isnt too shabby until you realize he had no touch downs, so 0x 16 = 0 touchdowns on the year..... so while he may get you decent yardage he is pretty much useless as a scorer. Go ahead and dump him, he is useless.

If you Britt fans want to see how a rookie WR is supposed to start his career.. Hakeem Nicks will be playing at 4:15 Sunday.

The interception was Britt's fault but for a rookie, he looked fairly good. Guy is the second youngest player in the NFL. So yeah, he's probably still not aware of the landscape. I dont know if he'll keep the starting job all year but the long term future has promise.

Britt started off the game slow enough and wasn't really explosive out of his breaks, didn't run great routes and looked a little lazy. However, he really stepped it up in the second half, running a great comeback route and coming back to Collins at the end of it, making the catch. It's nice to see that.

Some posters deserve a beating for creating awful threads, no idea why this one got tarred and feathered. I think it was a good observation of a rookie who looked a bit overwhelmed.

Britt looks like he's going to be real, real good in the near future. Really liked what I saw from such a young kid.

So, Troy P gets no props for that acrobatic one handed snag that only a handful of DB's in the NFL can make? Britt could've done more to break the play up, rookie mistake, but he also had one of the all time greats showing why he is an all time great on that play.
